well the breeder said to do this, we already let him go. he is a behaved dog when he's out of the cage, we just don't wanna find his presents everywhere. oh and we wake up aerly so he can "go" outside.

Bring in his cage into your bedroom. Your presence in the room will help him feel secure and settle in faster. He will let you know if he needs to go out at night, so be ready for that.
Sometimes the first few nights I put the crate right next to my bed, and I'll put my fingers through the door of crate until the pup falls asleep. It doesn't last long, and I've got the crate the moved to the other side of the room in a week or two with no problems.

Well, first of all, you should really have the crate in your room or the door open and the crate placed outside of your room. He doesn't want to be alone and is still new to the idea. He will bark the first night, it is normal. Or he may whine as well. The only other reason I see that he would be barking is because the crate may not be big enough. Oh, and just a tip ; Whenever your dog may act up, don't send them to their crate as punishment, their crate is meant to be a happy and pleasant place. If they are punished and put in them, then being locked up at night or when your away results in even more unhappiness for the pet. It's good you put toys in there, since it makes it seem more at home. Also, remember to have a good blanket or bed in there, so it's not uncomfortable for the dog. You shouldn't really let the dog on your bed because that comes into the dominance area. By letting him on the bed, you would be letting him have more dominance over you and therefore could encourage him to be alpha dog or exhibit alpha dog behavior. Oh, and another thing, I find it might be easier to paper-train a dog so they don't have to wake you up to go outside. Instead, find a room you don't mind having smell bad, like a laundry room or basement, and put the paper there. Then the dog can just go there without waking you up. You should try paper-training after you get rid of the crate, well if you do at all. If you don't plan on getting rid of it, you can still use this method. Best of luck to you! =)

did you just bring your puppy home? Or did you change the crate? Try playing some music or keep the teleivision on with low volume. Is the crate comfortable? Can he stand up or turn around? Does he have a dog bed? You can also try covering the door with a towel so he can not see the outside

Lack of stimulation/exercise could be the problem. Dogs can be like restless children who dont want to go to sleep. A good game of fetch or a brisk nightly walk might fix the problem. One of my dogs was the same as a puppy. He barked and cried until I thought I was going to go crazy. Hushing him only made it worse. Its best to ignore it bc any attention you give will be a reinforcement for bad behavior. I also gave my dog more exercise to tire him out and established a good schedule with him and that did the trick. I have both my puppies sleep in the corner of my room in their crates and they dont make a peep all night. It may take a while for your new dog to get used to it but with consistency and patience itll happen. Remember that this is all new to your pup and he might still be a lil scared. Sometimes giving them something like a tshirt that you wore that day with your scent on it will make him feel more secure. This helped with both my dogs when they were puppies along with the extra exercise. Lots of luck

Take a rag and rub it all over yourself and put it in the crate with him, he is probably lonely and having the rag to cuddle up to might help, I know it helps puppies when adjusting to new homes. It's worth a try.

There is nothing you can do. Eventually he will get used to it and stop barking. Puppies always act in such a manner and nothing can really fix it except time. Why not let him sleep in your room?
