Our neighboors are VERY STRANGE PEOPLE. They ahve all kinds of animals (From racoons, dogs, chickens, ducks, cats, snakes, fish - you name it - they have it.) She rescues animals sourt of. She takes them in, and then either finds homes for them or keeps them until their old enough to go into the wild.
(Which would be a really nice thing to do, but she does not keep things clean around her house. The smell actually travels from her yard to ours in the summer. Its GROSS)
WELL She has this one cat who comes into our yard ALL THE TIME. We didnt mind him at first. But a few weeks ago i noticed him spraying on our garden!! (There goes all those vegies!). Well, I hung my bathing suit on our clothes line (Like we do all our other clotehs) to dry. I went to put it on. IT GOT SPRAYED ON!!

My mom soaked it and washed it in the was (with no other clothes in it of course). She put it to dry. It didnt work! I'm currently soaking it in "Pet urine remover" that u use for your carpet/apolstry.

I'm planning on breeding Bettas and was just wondering how the sex of the fry is determined. Someone told me you'll get more males if they are in higher temperatures. While another person told me that low PH gives you more females then males.

And Yes, I know about breeding them and how pricey it can be and also the consequinces of having fish along with how to tell a male and female fish apart when they're full grown. i have fish coming in from Thailand this week from a good breeder there so don't even bother trying to tell me to look into it more.

Do you think people who only breed for show are able to supply the world with pets as well? If not then where should people get their pet quality dogs from?

my house is dying of fleas...they're in every room! I have two cats who seem to have them pretty badly. We've used the gel that you put on their back to kill them, but no luck. We used a fogger in 2 rooms that did nothing! What do i do?!?

One of our cats is suffering from Chronic Renal Failure due to the tainted Iams cat food made by Menu Foods. Iams has agreed their food was the cause and they have offered to pay our vet bills (nearly $4,000 so far) and for four months of medical monitoring. Four months is a joke -- our cat is going to need expensive treatment for the rest of his life, not just the next four months.

Just curious to know if anyone has had any luck with negotiating a better settlement with Iams. Did they increase the length of the medical monitoring window? Did they reimburse you for related costs (missing work, canceled travel plans, etc.)? Or did they just give you the brush off and tell you their offer would not change?

Just wondering what to expect when I call them to make a counter offer.

Ok well my little brother (he's only 11) has a very friendly and smart rat and so he was letting him crawl around the kitchen floor and some how he got into the 3 inch hole (that we didnt know about) in one of the cupboards. We've tried getting him out with food, he eats a little bit of it but then when u pull it out farther he wont come, we've tried usin pedro (my rat) to get himout but that doesnt work, we've set food on the floor by the hole and that didnt work either. My mom is getting really frusterated and we dont want to have to cut up the cupbaord so what should we do to get him out?

My dog barks a lot and it is usually nothing in particular that she needs to bark at. She almost never responds to "No!". We have tried a shock collar but we never have it on her all the time so we can't always control her. If it is off she thinks there is no problem with barking. What is an effective way to get her to bark less or possibly not at all?

Wouldn't the world be a lot better for dogs if it was illegal to sell them for money?

I know illegal child trade still goes on (so what hope have animals really got), but I think it would be a great start to make it illegal to make money out of selling dogs. Think about it: no more people letting their dogs pump out puppies just so they can make a 'quick buck'!

I'd just like to add that I KNOW this will never happen this side of the end of the world, and I KNOW that even if it did it's a law that probably wouldn't be enforced. But I think it's a nice dream, who agrees?

We had two other dogs(courtney 8, and billy 4) before we got our new dog(twiggy, 13 weeks) we have had her for 2 days now and billy (who is much larger than twiggy, runs away from her everytime she comes with in 2 inches of him. Courntey loves the new puppy, probably because she has had puppys her self. But between Billy and Twiggy i just dont get it, its like the elephant running away from the mouse! help!

Hi,

Many people would consider Killifish and Rainbow fish as oddballs? I used to disagree, but I've ran into too many people who think so. Here was my first thought about "qualifications" to oddballs: fish that are reclusive from other families or fish so cannot be sorted into any of the categories (such as characins, cyprinids, etc); miscellaneous/extra/others fish. Eeels and Puffers are completely different fish but are both considered an oddball. Would killifish, rainbow, pleco, gars, pencilfish, etc. be considered oddballs?

What is your idea about oddball qualifications?

I was told that it is not a good idea to physically punish my puppy, I keep firmly saying "no", but she keeps biting. Every time I raise my voice she barks at me. She is wonderful, she is almost potty trained and she loves her crate, but we can not even play with her, she bites us! Her little teeth are so sharp. What should we do?

When a dog's tail is docked, does it generally leave a scar?

I have three rescued dogs, all purebred, all breeds with docked tails. One of them has a scar. I can't find one on the other two.

Is this common? The one with the scar is a larger dog and has a fatter tail (he's a Brittany), so maybe that's why I can see his scar?

I'd think at a few hours old when the tail is docked, it likely wouldn't leave a scar?

Thanks!
