Poor Barbosa,
He was swimming with his bottom in the air for a couple of days, then this morning I found him dead floating at the top, still with his bottom in the air.
As I scooped him out I noticed that he had blood coming out of his back end.
What happened?
Capt'n Jack and Poppet who were in there with him still look fine!
Thank you for any help you can give me. I'd hate to see the other two go the same way.

I have two red ear slider. They were about the same size when i got them, but one is growing much faster than the other. Lately I've noticed the big one is starting to be very aggressive when it comes to feeding time, and today I just discovered that the little one has bite marks all over it's mouth. and it seems very depress and keeps making this weird crying noise. the little one used to be very energetic, but now it doesn't move much and has stopped eating. This is my first time caring for turtle, and I have no clue what to do...PLEASE HELP!!

I have a 10 gallon freshwater tank. I got it like 8 months ago and have gome thru soo many fish. I don't want to put any more fish in there if they are just going to die. It's not fair to them. Just in the last month I had 2 fancy gold fish and one guppy who survived from a prev. "batch" of fish I brought home. They were all doing great, eating swimming doing what fish do, then they started to get a little ick. So I started treating the tank for ick but it didn't help. They died within days. Just a week ago I bought 5 of the medium size feeder gold fish. and now they are all dying. I have treated the tank over and over again for ick. But it seems like no matter what I do it comes back. Since all the fish are dead should I completly empty the tank and get new rocks and plants before buying more fish? I take good care of my fish but why won't they live?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When i looked in my tank this morning both my female mollies spines have curved round and they are having trouble swimming, mainly staying at bottom of tank.

My male mollie and male guppie will not leave them alone, they keep trying to mate with them. Poor girls are tired.

Does this mean they are on there way out?

They have been all healthy up to now.

Any sujestions why this has happened and has anyone else had this problem.

Please help

also i have just put both females in breeding net to give them a rest from the boys.

A friend gave me an aquarium that she hadn't used in a couple of years and had not cleaned it. So, now it has dried algae all over the inside and calcium deposits around the top inside and all over the hood/light. I am wondering how to clean this off without scratching the glass. Will it even come off??? (I definitely won't be using soaps of any kind or those sponges with chemicals in them)Thank you...

Hi, I am not from US, and in my country there are no shelters for cats, so stray cats are in the streets, people feed them, but of course disease and accidents often kill them young. Some of them manage to have long lives too, though, because in every neighbourhood there are people who take them to the vet, neuter them, etc.
I realised that in the US these cats are taken in shelters and put in cages, and if they are not adopted they are killed! I think this is horrible and animal lovers should not accept it. Sure I am not in favour of cats living in streets, but it's life, they never asked to be killed! I mean considering that shelters are supposed to be helping them! In addition, my main argument is that shelters hide the problem of unwanted kittens from the eyes of the general public (since thousands of homeless cats are not wandering around) and contribute to irresponsible owners, who breed their cats.If there were 10 kittens in their yard, maybe they'd decide against creating more

I know he was taken from his mother too soon, I think 5 weeks old and he was the runt and i just don't think she got to him or something yet. I got him when he was 7 weeks old and he'll use the litter box occasionally. I've tried a few methods. I keep him in the bathroom for a few hours at night with some toys, his food and water, and his litter box and of course he'll use it then. But when he's out running around he seems to forget about his litter box or something and pees and poops anywhere he wants. I even about every hour or so bring him to his litter box to see if he has to go. Seldom does he when I do that though. Any other suggestions? And yes his litter box is always clean, I clean it everyday.

Whenever I Touch my cats stomach (4 months old) she nibbles on my hand. It doesn't really hurt, but I don't really think that cats are ticklish. And by the way, if you say that mine is, whenever I tickle her neck, she just purrrs.

I just got a 3 month old Bull Terrier mix today and I have been trying to introduce him to my 3 year old cat. The cat seems to stand his ground and growl at the puppy when he comes near which is understandbale because the puppy wants to jump at and play with the cat. He has also barked at him a few times and I immediately told him no each time. If the cat tries to run, the dog instinctively wants to chase him. Any suggestions on how I can get the puppy to just ignore the cat? Is there a chance that they will ever be friends?

She is walking hunched over now, and keeps yelping and licking herself. She is discharging, I think.. and crying when she pees and her vagina looks swollen. It is 1am here, and there's not much I can do. Is this normal? And if its not is there any human or children meds I can give her until the vets office opens?

this afternoon i removed all of my fish and put them into a temporary tank so i can renovate their current home. the removal happend about 8 or 9 hours ago, and during that time, i moved a large rock from a horizontal position to a vertical position. about half an hour ago i investigated the empty tank and discovered some funky round things covered in some sort of 'glue' on the side of the rock that used to face the ground. - the rock acted as a caveand the side with the round things was the ceiling of the cave.
i dont know what the round things are, im assuming that theyre eggs, but of whom? ive pictures of them:

a close up:

what are those? eggs? keep in mind that they were on the ceiling of a cave. could they be snail eggs?
