Poor Barbosa,
He was swimming with his bottom in the air for a couple of days, then this morning I found him dead floating at the top, still with his bottom in the air.
As I scooped him out I noticed that he had blood coming out of his back end.
What happened?
Capt'n Jack and Poppet who were in there with him still look fine!
Thank you for any help you can give me. I'd hate to see the other two go the same way.

This sounds very much like swim bladder disease. This is hard to treat as unlike most diseases meds dont work as good for swim bladder.

Best treatment is to keep your water quality at a good standard.
Prevention is always better than cure.

You could always try feeding them some peeled pees as that ment to help alot

it sounds like a swimbladder problem this is hard to cure although people would like to sell you lots of expensive treatments for it anyway! the best action you can take is keeping the water in your tank as healthy as possible 2 weekly 50% water changes clean the filter monthly deppending on the build up in it no over feeding-fish will eat as much as their given but its got to come out again which in turn can pollute the water a fish tank hoover is a great investment for the "pooh" cleaning only use every 2 months or so some build up is good for the enviroment

Who, crap, the parasites are attacking, evacuate all your house and lock yourself in a room in the basement behind your computer. Don't come out for the rest of your life.

Hint: take some starwars dvd's with you.
