My sister got her puppy spayed at six months old, too. She says I should get my puppy an IV. Should I? I mean, what will it do for (or to) her?

So after training My dog went out of the car with out his leash on so he kinda ran away.
Once he ran away i did this trick to make him go home which is running to my house. But once i did this my dog went in front of me so i tripped on him. Now he has so many scrapes on his leg and one DEEP scrape.
Also,I am supposed to take a shower for him today but i wonder if i can use the shampoo on him.
What should i do? help!!!!!
But, please do not say vet because i am just a teen but still can't drive.

I am postive my 7 week old kitten has ear mites.
I can take her to the vet and get some medicine but I am fairly anti med so I was wondering if there is any household products that would work or something herbal?
I don't want her in pain so if I have to I will treat her but there seems to be herbal remedies for everything now a days :)
thanks!

I bought two females about a week and a half ago. They were feeder rats but im keeping them as pets. I think the one might be pregnant because shes gaining weight really fast also i bought a finch nest and put in some paper towels she pushed them into a corner and pulled straw out of the nest. It might of been here cagemate but was mostlikley her. also if she is pregnant can i leave her cagemate in the cage with her well she has her pups. She also has become a little nippy

I'm moving into an apartment by myself in September and would like a little companion. The pet policy is 25lbs and under. I'm not a fan of puffy coats and high maintenance dogs, I want a dog that will still run with me and get dirty.. like a real dog should! Any suggestions? I was thinking Miniature Australian Shepherd but they would probably be too active for apartment life, and also mayhaps a Miniature Pinscher.

i have not been able to find a case related to mine. i have a 3 month old lab who eats three times a day. 6am, noon, 6pm. i fed him his normal lunch and as always i let it soak for a while to expand it before he eats. a few minutes after he ate he threw up. the throw up looked just like his food. he has been throwing up about every 20 minutes to half hour since. each time he throws up it just looks more and more digested. i have been allowing him to drink water, he has peed but is also throwing more water now. the dog is still hungry, he wants to eat, even his throwup.

just spoke with the animal hospital and hey can't help me without seeing the dog first. any suggestions?

I remember a time when the "rolled up newspaper" method of dog training was the accepted norm. Back then, many trainers taught their dogs to do amazing things (and do them quite well) using methods that most folks today would consider "cruel". I'm not advocating any particular school of training here, but I was wondering: What happened that most people changed their training habits? How did positive reinforcement start, and do you think it will continue to be the preferred method of dog training?

A corgi cairn terrier mix? I have a 3 month old puppy. She resembles a corgi much more than a cairn terrier. Has anyone ever had a dog with this type of mix?

Me and my cousin both have pure bred yorkshire terriers but mine's look like this
http://www.dog-breeds-explained.info/images/yorkshire-terrier.jpg

and my cousin's look like this
http://www.yorkie-lovers.com/images/yorkiepic1.jpg

and they are both around the same age, and there are other yorkies that look like a mixture of both

why do they look so different? i would have never guessed they were the same breed

I have a westie who very recently (over the past 3 days) has developed 4-5 small, round, scaly bumps on her face and back. She scratches at them causing them to bleed, and on the ones she can't reach, her skin is peeling off. Of course I'm taking her to the vet as soon as possible, but I was curious as to what I'm dealing with and how much treatment she will have to go through (and I'll have to pay for ). I know westies are famous for their skin problems, but I haven't read anything about this bumps in any descriptions online. She isn't really losing her hair around these bumps, so I'm stumped. Has anyone dealt with something similar?
