Okay let's think about this carefully. Your dog's leg got scraped up. What's the first thing you do when you get cuts or scrapes? You wash it lol. A bath won't hurt at all unless we're talking something that would require stitches. Just be very gentle around that area, no hard rubbing. Applying triple antibiotic ointment to the scrapes will help heal them. Perfectly safe to use on your dog :) If there is a deep scrape use gauze pads over it and get some tape at the store that's self sticking. It's right by the bandage tapes usually and meant for people with skin that's sensitive to bandage tape. Good luck, your dog will be fine :)

Yes you can use the shampoo on him. Wash the scrapes real good and he will probably heal right up. You can also put a type of antibiotic ointment on him but he will probably lick it off. If you bandage it to keep him from licking it, it may not heal as fast. If the deep scrape does not look better in a week or if it starts to look worse you need to talk to your mom or dad and see about going to the vet. Clean the scrapes everyday and he will probably be better in no time.

If you call the vet, there is probably an after hours number and he or she will call you back for free and answer the question. I would probably hold off on the shower unless the cut is dirty and pour hydrogen peroxide on it to clean it out. If you can put neosporin on it, that would be great, but keep an eye on it over the weekend and if it looks bad on Monday see if you can get him to a vet. It might though heal up OK.

Ouch sorry to hear about what took place.
I would not exactly try to shampoo it right away.
The shampoo might burn the scrapes, UNLESS you can find a shampoo thats SOAP FREE.
&&You really want to make sure your dog doesn't develop a infection in the scapes.
You can go to a store and buy some Vitamin A&D ointment or even Neosporn to help the cuts.
If you're a teen you might want to tell your parents also.
They might be able to keep after the cuts, etc.
Good luck.
