Just give the iguana some time to adjust to its new habitat

if hes turning brown it is because there is something wrong with his habitat. check the humidity which should be high round 70s and check the temperature which should be 90 degrees. bedding can be a problem. i find that reptile arpet makes a happier iguana and woodchips do just as well... my iguana dosnt go in his water bowl either dont worry aboutit but make sure his water isnt cold cuz that will discourage him from using it. if ur iguana is a juvinile (under 1 foot) then dont try to make him go in water he could drown. my iguana gets the tub filled up every now and then with warm water and a little bowl turned upside down for an island. u are trying to handle ur iguana too early though give him time to adjust. also u might be makeing too much noise when u come in a room. iguanas can be very sensitive to noise. my iguana is overly sensitive and urs might be also. if he turns brown right after u touch him you could have somethin on ur hands. like a chemical or something his skin and body disnt like. at first dont try to hold ur iguana in ur hand. let him crawl on ur shoulders or whatever fisrt let him get comfortable then u can start to hold him. but do it very often

It is stressed. Give it more time to adjust, and then only handle it a very short time each day, gradually handling more as it matures. Lots of gentle handling every day is the key to a tame iguana, but many still get aggressive around breeding season, and some are naturally more temperamental than others.

all baby iguanas seem to act like this... you just have to give it time to adjust and pay lots and lots of attention to it ... the more you handle it the more it will get used to it. the color change is because it gets stressed out. instead of a tube in your tank put a branch for it to climb on.

i have an iguana myself.
do you have a juevenile iguana or an adult?
they just seem to act like that.
or maybe you have to make it feel like their in their home.
their reptiles.
you need to get a reptile cage and put bark, a branch for it to climb, water/food bowl.
reptiles also have to have the sunlight or they will die
my iguana only changes color when its being exposed to the sun.

or go to google and search up iguanas

Hope this helps ; ]

It is going to take a bit of time for it to be comfortable in its new home. As for the skin going darker, my Bearded Dragons skin goes dark to black in direct sunlight and when he is pissed off or scared. Might be similar for Iguanas
