I need help! my beatas tank is full of gunk every 3 days that i wash it! it wont stay clean! what am i doing wrong? i am cleaning it with reagular fish soap that a pet co. person.

ok.. my prob is my german shepherd barks at other dogs he doesn't know (those that pass by).. i think he was traumatized by the attack he got 2 months ago.. that's why he's trying to attack first before the other attacks him.

on the other hand i was thinking... he's just 5 months old and get over these on the long run...

however... we have another dog coming up... a shih tzu... i was wondering what could happen if my dog sees a new dog in the house, thinking of it's current behaviour towards other dogs. moreover, a shih tzu is very small... i was thinking of the small dog. she might also gain trauma, if my shepherd would bark at her all the time.

HOW CAN I STOP MY SHEPHERDS BEHAVIOR????

i have 4 female bettas in a 10 gallon tank and it started with my blue female. she had a dark grey discoloration and one by one they started in the same way. my last plakat female had some white residue on her body and it started to spread. it was on her mouth and went too her eyes. i put some ich medicine and some maroxy will that have kiled whatever was causing it inside my tank??

They seem fine right now. The sharks only bother themselves and the gourmais do their own thing, but when they are older will they become hostile?...Also another question. What do red tail sharks eat? I gave them tropical flakes and the gourmais only eat it. The sharks just pass by it.

Ok well I know that it is recommended to have a 50-75W heater for a 10 gallon, but I have an old one that measures around 10.5 inches long, I have no idea what wattage it is.......Safe to put it in the tank on the lowest setting and see what temperature it is? I want to buy a new one, but my mom won't let me, saying this one will be fine and she will get me a thermometer....It came from a friend with a relatively large tank.

Is it dangerous?

I have just recently bought a 45G (i think) tank off of craigslist, now in the photos the tank looked to be in rough shape with all kinds of mineral deposites and build up of what not. Now i was talked to the seller and he said just use a 1 blade razor with this jungle "lime off" solution and everything with clean up well. Wel last night i scrubed the tank for roughly 2 hours and the only stuff that came off was the chunks of whatever that were stuck to the glass. I let the lime off soak on the glass for roughly half an hour and there was no difference so i tried a bon ami paste (water and bon ami) i scrubbed and i scrubbed, no difference. I let it soak and still no difference. When i touch the glass it feels smooth but whe it's not wet it's nearly impossable to see the back of the tank. SO PLEASE if anyone knows what i can do please say somthing I don't mind putting alittle elbow grease into it so if there is a remedy that oyu know of please share it will be much appreciated. Thankyou

how visible is Ich? my betta has a bit of white-ishness on his stomach and gills but its not like the white speckles i see on pictures on websites. any help would be great. ps, my betta is quarantined in a seperate tank just in case.

i was told makeesha is a wolf hybrid and bear is a wolf hybrid just curious what you think

Makeesha acts so much like a wolf she is 6 months old and NEVER Heard her bark ONE time. She also loves to dig,she killed my dog but i think she thought it wsa a toy. Also whenever she comes inside she goes right to the chair and starts chewing them and stuff so she has to stay outside we have enrolled herin puppy trainin classes by the wayAND SHE IS VER TIMID AND SHY

Bear is 9 months old and is one lovable boy he also talks he says i love you it sounds just like it. its so cute he does have a summer haircut though

and my second question is are wolf hybrids OR malamute and huskies get hip problems easier

I want to know what is the best breed of dog 4 a apartment living.

Also, I want to know what is the best breed of dog 4 a farm. My parents are thinking about moving to a one bedroom house with one bathroom(will get bigger!) outside near fields of grass. It will be a inside and a outside pet.

I look and the only breed that fit the two circumstances are the Maltese.

The owner said she's a German Shepherd. I thought her body is too light for a German Shepherd. She was brought from a farm -- one of the shepherding dogs there. I'm also feeding her thrice a day with good protein and lots of carbs but she just couldn't get any bulkier.

my neighbor is trapping pigeons and killing them afterwards.
i know they are a really nuisance here (and probably not protected by law) - but is it legal to kill them?

what should be done with trapped pigeons? releasing them somewhere else? (which would me more humane and probably completely legal)

My 9 year old niece's dog Roger just died and is distraut. Roger was sick and old but had a good life when he was younger and was beloved. My niece asked me to explain where Roger went. I lied to her and told her that he was alive but left his flesh and went up to heaven to get well again. And that he would return in the flesh but only God knows when he will come back. She's doing better now because she has hope that she will see him again but its a fuking dirty lie. And shes expecting him to rise up again. I feel horrible. Should I?

He seemed OK when I got home about 3 1/2 hrs ago. for that last 45 min or so he has been not acting right. He is an 8 week old Chihuahua. He has had his 1st shot but not yet his 2nd.

His head kid of wobbles when he sits and a few times has fallen over. He seems to walk OK but is a little lethargic. He has went to his water bowl and taken a drink, and he is not vomiting.

He seems like an over medicated person, but to my knowledge he hasn't gotten into anything.

We just got him and since he is not a patient at our local clinic yet and it is after hours, they will not page the Dr.

Any advice?

My puppy (5 1/2 months) broke his leg (greenstick radius). Since his injury he has not used the bathroom at all. I take him out often and he just stares at us. The vet said that while he was sedated to have his cast put on, he had a bowel movement and urinated. Now, he is home and I know he has to go but he won't. Is this common? What can I do? Until the vet, he held it for almost 13 hours.
