My cat has been meowing very loudly every time we pick her up. We think she is pregnant because she has a round belly and large nipples. The thing is she isn't very affectionate, but very unaffectionate! Is she pregnant or not!

I have a siberian hamster I left him with a sitter for 2 weeks who has cats, now that I have him back he has red sores on his glands and his fur seems patchy and scruffy plus he seems to be scratching more often. If this is fleas should I treat him with hamster flea powder or take him to the vets to check his sores first?

I have a male and female and the female has turned her former water bowl into a nest. She sits in it comfortably, but won't use the nesting box OR nest I brought for them. They've actually shredded up the nest and are having fun dropping it all over the bottom of the cage.

Anyways, so how do I make things suitble for her?! She looks "puffy" and I don't know what to do with her. Should I move their cage to a room that doesn't have air conditioning? My house is pretty cool and I know they're tropical birds.

I need all the info I can get! Thanks!

When walking your dog in the park/woods etc. which dog breed scares you the most when it's off leash. I love rotties and would own one but they scare the crap out of me when they are off lead. I have never had one attack yet though!
I know any aggressive dog would be bad but which one's in particular freak you out. Again, this is not a name and shame as I would 100% own a rottie. Dogs are friendly when socialised well. This is just open honesty and true feelings. So go on let us know the breeds that most scare you when off lead.

That was just a random question that popped into my head. I'm sure it's something physiological, but I just wondered if anyone had an exact medical answer. Thanks!

I have pet rat and ever since I first got her, she's been making noises A LOT in her cage and she's never quiet when I sleep. During school I had a hard time in classes because I couldn't get to sleep because of my rat being so noisy. Even though I graduated now, she is still noisy and I still can't get to sleep whenever she is being active at night. I play and play with her during the day so maybe she'll sleep at night but that doesn't help. I feed her and give her more water before I go to bed and that still doesn't help. I've had a rat before so I know how to take care of them but this rat I have currently is more noiser than the last one I had. She likes to climb on the water bottle and knock that down, which is loud in a big fish tank. My parents say I should get rid of her but I don't want to. I bought her some chew toys but even that doesn't satisfy her. What can I do to make her quiet, or less noisy at night so I can get some sleep?

At the moment, my rat, Sneezer, is on Baytril for a mild respiratory infection. The vet said keep her on it for ten days and that is all I must do, but I work in a pet store and have also done a lot of reading that says she should be on a pro-biotic supplement for five days after her treatment is over.

What should I give her and where do I get it?

Also, I have read that I can give her Echinacea in her water (using honey to disguise the taste) on a cycle--one week of Echinacea, three weeks off. And I've read giving her garlic cloves on a regular basis will also boost her immune system.

Would it be beneficial for me to do this?

(I'd appreciate it if only people who REALLY know their stuff answer these questions. Thanks!)

Even if you wash your hands after .. can it get inside cuts on your fingers or hands? If the turtle walked on a table and you wash it after.. should you throw out the sponge and rewash the area again later?

Can you get it from just touching the water the turtle is in?

I am paranoid.

I have an eight-day old baby and am staying at my mom's house. I have recently discovered a couple of fleas and flea bites around the house. My mom has a dog and a cat and I'm assuming that's the source of the fleas. But with the new baby in the same house, what can I do to get rid of the fleas and protect us from bites?

I noticed that, my male min pin, how is clearly the dominant dog at home compared to another min pin..but whenever he is near a really big dog, he just walks to the dog, and plop he goes on his back waving his paws in what looks like this instant submissive position. Why does he do this?

Have you ever turned a corner and found an agressive one ready for serious business and been chased by it?

I bought him from a couple who was not taking very good care of him. He was matted and obviously needed attention. He was already housebroken and basic obedience trained when we got him. He was nippy with my oldest daughter who approaches him quickly. But now he craves all the attention and if left alone for some time, he will whine, cry, scratch the floor, basically throw a tantrum. He looks so pitifull sometimes I give in and stop doing whatever I have to do. I need advice on how to make him function in our family without feeling alone? Other than that he is angelic.

I know it might be a stupid question but can there be a veterinarian that only specializes in dogs and do they get paid the same as a regular veterinarian? (cause I know vets get paid a LOT of money!)

Thanks a billion if you can answer! Lol!
