I lost my 11 year old baby blue and gold from PDD about a month ago my amazon does not ask for him however after living with him for ten years she no longer has her friend around. I am unable to purchase another bird because my amazon may have PDD or be a carrier. My husband is terrified that he is going to loose his "baby" too. I'm devistated but trying to remain optimistic and strong for the amazon. Now its a waiting game. For 3 weeks she spoke very little and refused to eat. Other than spending time with her and spoiling her, with toys, treats, and special outings what can we do to help her. We both work. We've brought her to work with us a couple of times. She has already had two well bird exams and appears to be fine. We're waiting for an appt. at Guelf teaching school where she will be seen by one of the top PDD experts. When I'm not balling my eyes out I have become totally focused on doing whatever I can for the cure.

He is the horse I bought for my 8 year old granddaughter one year ago. I would call his ground manners great, and greenbroke on riding. He follows her as if he is on a lead, and she is doing an admirable job of establishing respect. The problem has only occurred a few times, but I am not talking love nips, he bit me on the arm while he was acting like he wanted his face time. He has never done this to anyone except me. I had to slow my granddaughter down on his treats, and have never yelled, but used a firm voice with her when she is out of bounds with any of the horses. They are very bonded, could it be he thinks he is protecting her? I feel almost silly saying that, but sometimes that is what it feels like. The only new thing is he has always been in submission to two older geldings, and we now have two fillies [yearlings] and he is aware that he isn't at the bottom of the pecking order. He nips at them, mostly playfully. This is an infrequent thing.,

I am worried about my cockatiel but I am broke and I want to know if there is anything I can do to help his leg heal. The thing is that I am not sure if his leg is broken. I bandaged his leg and put a stick to hold its leg. Please help me .

God Bless,
Glendy

I hate wearing gloves and carrying around a special stick for snake catching so I've decided I'm going bare handed, but the problem is being bit. When a garter latched on to the side of my hand l tried to pull its jaw off of my hand, but that only put cuts into my finger and then when i got the snake off it's mouth filled with blood and it wouldnt stop bleeding. how do l get a snake off thats latched on to me without hurting it, or making my hand worse? l'm guessing some of his teeth pulled out or it bit its own mouth

My sisters who lives with me has a puppy that has came down with parvo. He has had a puppy shot and everything and was not let off the property or exposed to strange dogs. Fenced in back yard. He is 4 months old and he has been here since he was 7 weeks old. So im not sure how he came down with it. Now his sister who is my puppy has been in contact with him. She had 1 more puppy shot then he did. Im going to start her on meds to prevent her from getting severly sick or is it possible cause she had 1 more shot shes immune? If he makes it through the night he is going to be PTS i talked with the vet and he said theres only a 1% chance of him making it has he is not only pooping blood he is puking it up. I dont know how or where he could have got it. Since we noticed him activing differantly its only been 2 days and he is already this far gone.

I have a baby leopard gecko- about 1 month old and she eats 10 crickets a day because she's growing.
I'm going to the pet store on July 1st to get more crickets, and buy some other stuff. I ran out of crickets today, can she survive 3 days or should I just make an extra trip to the pet shop?

I have a koi pond and hard water... very hard water. I just found out that salinity matters. So if I add pure salt dissolved first in pond water will that make it softer. I've had my koi 3 weeks and all they do is hide under the rock I elavated in the water for them. They never come out though even for food. They eat it when we aren't around, but always hide when we are around. Is this because of the water, or because they still need more time to adjust to the pond?

Give it some water .I am freaking ....I would rather suffer a Migraine ....Than see this poor thing suffer for one minute longer.HELP....What can I do? anyone have this experience or know how to deal with this type of matter?
My Fiancee is not going to home for 4HRS So i am the only one that can help. This wolf like animal looks to be a little bigger than a German Shepard but it is not a German Shepard Because I have seen these animals out in the wilderness when I am walking my dogs.

My pet rat only likes to chew things outside of the cage. She won't chew on the natural wood toys I get her. Her teeth are getting LONG! I am worried about this. Also, she is all white but sometimes gets a patch of reddish tinged dirt on her fur on her back. I can wipe this away with a damp cloth, but it always comes back. What is this?

I have a 2 yr old Chessapeake Bay Retriever who is starting to get a little testy. He has growled at a few people including my daughter and wife. We also have his father and he has gone at him a few times. I was just wondering how you all would handle this situation? What would you do with him?
Thank you for helping me out with this.
