I found this big pond around my house and I found these orange colour fish. I think there gold fish but I have tried feeding them goldfish flake and they wont eat it. There are fish that range from 8inches to 1 inch. I want to keep them. What should i feed them, and what should I do to keep them alive?

Icaught some and i have some in a bowl in my house!!!!!

First, for now I would return the one's you caught to the pond since they don't eat prepared foods.

These fish are used to eating live foods in the pond. To get them to eat prepared foods you will probably have to start with something they know, like mosquito larvae or bloodworms. Once they will eat those dead, it would be safe to bring a few home with you. But remember, they get at least 8", you know that much from seeing them, so they will need a large tank. Something like a 55 gallon for just a few.

Personally, I would suggest you just enjoy seeing them and feeding them where they are.

first off, don't keep them in the bowl too long, they could sufficate. You can feed them koi pond pellets found at your local pet shop or flakes, I wouldn't advise giving them bread because I have fish like that and I've tried feeding them bread and they don't eat it. However, they do eat both the pellets and flakes. Have fun! :)

I think you should return them to the pond you found them at. The types of "goldfish" you have are naturally used to eating mosquito larvae and other types of stuff....
