I've just bought my first tank and have had it all set up for the reccomended two weeks and now at last i can buy fishes! Anyone have any advice on what type to start with, i prefer the more colourful ones

He is almost 3 months and he is a Pom. He is on Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy Kibbles/Dry Food.

My clown loach, that i recently got, infected my tank with white spot. thats been treated and the spots have gone and no other fish looks like they have it. but since then my loach seems really depresssed and unactive. he just hides and doesnt come out, not even for food!! he has never been like this. And yes i did put the correct amount of white spot medication in. i have done a 50 - 75% water change and clean everything. Also my betta isnt lookin very well either he has a white line above his mouth. i dont think its mouth fungus. he hasnt been well for a while. i dont know what to do. im thinking ab0out putting him aanother tank with less agressive fish but then i think the stress of moving him might kill him. please help. i want to sort it out today if possible. I recently got a pakistani loach, could that be one of the answers? And also does anyone know why he changes colour, sometimes he has no pattern other times he has?

he's not neutered yet but we plan to do that. what else can i do? hes about one and a half years old, he doesn't spray often but we do have another cat that is female, not spayed yet. any advise?

I work 40 hours a week so I'm gone for the first 8 hours of every day. The puppy either can't or won't hold it that long so any time I leave it in its kennel he pees in it and on himself. What should I do with him while I am gone?

I like to put my two Budgerigars outside in the daytime for some fresh air and a change of scenery. Trouble is the summer here in the UK is quite cold this year and I was wondering how cold they can be without feeling discomfort. ( I do make sure they cannot get wet of course ! )

I have a 8 month old Lab/Pit mix and she weighs 40 pounds and comes just above my knees. Just wondering if the growth starts to taper off at this age or if she will continue to grow some more? Thanks!

I have a 30 gallon with the one male betta, three glass cats, and 3 cories. I think my betta fish got the fungus from another fish that was doing sickly, which we already quarantined.
Yesterday night, it was only a small white fluffiness at the side of his face, so I thought it might just go away. Today, it's covered almost his entire head, and his one eye is completely white now!

I've moved the betta into a much smaller tank and I've given him a dose of BettaFix Remedy, which says it can cure fungus. But a few questions... Can it overdose? What are the chances for my Betta to survive? Should I still try to feed him? And what about the rest of my fish?? Another cory of mine died just yesterday, but I never really knew why. Are my other cories in danger? What can I do??

All water parameter checks are okay. Nitrates under 30 ppm, no Ammonia, etc.

Help please!!

I clean the litterboxes religiously twice a day but still feel like the house smells. Do cats themselves give off an odor or is it just their litterboxes? Any suggestions on what I can do? Does anyone else out there have a multi cat household and have it smelling fresh too? THANK YOU SO MUCH! Will try anything!

My dog has been potty trained for 2 years now. She doesn't have occasional accidents etc., she goes to the door and holds it until we bring her out. We never have a problem with her, she barks or whines to let us know. Last night we brought a new dog home to dog-sit for a friend and our dog completely reverted. While we were awake she was perfectly fine and even played with the dog but when I woke up in the middle of the night I found that she had pee'd TWICE on our carpet and poo'd TWICE in a matter of a couple of hours. I'm sure it has to do with jealousy, anxiety etc. but my question is, will we now have to completely retrain her after all this time and will she go back to normal once the other dog is gone?? I don't want to have to take her priviledges away or mine since I love having her sleep in the bed with me at night :(

My hamster is making a sneezing/coughing sound???? What is wrong? I do what regular hamster owners do. I clean the cage every weekend, change his water everyday, give food, bedding, and everything else! What is wrong wih my poor hamster? He doesn't have wet tail, so what could be wrong?? He eats fine and poops fine. He sleps naturally, and is active at night. He runs on his wheel and runs in his ball every night.
Please if you know what my hamster has please give me advice on what to do, and what he has. Thanks!

thanks to all who left me answers i just wanted to know i was doing the right things for my cats,yes they are going to b spayed asap, and when i got them, they were all ready pregnant so wasnt much i could do, they were actully booked in to be spayed but they gave birth 2 days before.and yes it was posted twice as its the first time i have used this site i wasnt sure i did it right the first time,thanks again for all yours answers they were great.
