In order to put an end to the expanding population of rabbits one must separate the males from the females. You will find that eventually the multiplying with stop. Or you could have them all neutered...that may take a while and some serious $$ .
If these are adult rabbits that seem to congregate in your basement, find out how they are getting in and plug the hole...OR...get a hound dog.
