I know I'm responsible enough, and that I can handle a dog, as I've been preparing and researching for one for years. For some reason, my parents still don't think I can handle it. I think the real reason they don't want one is because they don't have time, even though I've already assured them both that they wouldn't even have to touch the dog. Any suggestions? I've already made a list of all the costs of a dog, made a pros and cons chart for the breeds I'm interested in, listed all my responsibilities as an owner, and offered to help pay for it. Niether of them will tell me why they wont let me get one, and I don't know what to do.
And by the way, thanks for the advice everyone who answered my last question. :)

I know that's not the right spelling. But it's easer to read for me!

Now, my Ginnie pig is scratching himself bold on his back. And he's getting scabs! What is wrons with him? It was NEVER this bad, but now he's scratching himself a LOT and it's starting to bleed. Is he just streded out or what? And what can I do to gix this? he looks like he has a mowhawk on his back because he's scrached it off!

Please help! Thanks!

By the way, I'm really VERy sorry for spelling. But when I have a cat sitting on the keyboard I have to type to save time.

I just recently acquired a kitten who was born on January 4th, The woman i got her from was feeding her on goats milk.

I'm feeding her KMR with a petAG bottle, she goes at the formula now with vigor, but she isn't eating as much as it says she should be for her age. Close, but not quite. She's supposed to be eating 80 ml and is consuming about 60-65 so far.

The woman said i would have to stimulate her to eliminate. I've done this before with kittens and i have tried many things since i got her - a warm washcloth, a tissue, a baby wipe, running water, a litterbox... i've tried before and after each feeding but she has yet to go potty! It's only been about 12 hours.

She is sleeping alot, body warmth is fine, doesn't seem dehydrated ( i checked ) - sneezes occasionally but doesn't seem like anything serious.

Anyways should i be concerned at this point that she hasn't gone potty? Is there something i can do to get more food into her? Should i even be worried?

A relative of mine received a young male green anole as a gift about six months ago. A few days after he got it, he decided he didnt like it because he was unable to hold it like he wants to, and the poor little guy ended up in my care. I have done a great deal of research on the topic, but I am way over my head. He barely moves and is never green unless he sleeps. I have a heat lamp on the cage during the day( i was told to turn it off at night) I mist the cage when I can(i have classes during the day) but he just doesnt look healthy. when i first got him he would jump out of the way of the mist when i sprayed the cage, but now he just fliches. I feel terrible. I want to turn him over to the pet store but im worried that his condition will keep him from getting food when he is among his kind. I have great knowledge in other animals but I have absolutely no experience with reptiles. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said before I have a 9 month old cockapoo. At this age is it normal for him to be teething? If so what is the best toy or anything for him?

I have to take my cat to have her spayed tomorrow. She has never been out of the house or away from me. What can I do to make this less tramatic for her? She's 4 months old and thinks I'm her mom. I hate leaving her overnight. Will she be traumatized?

Can SomeBody PLEASE Foster!
Vollunter Quote-The shelter is running out of room for the cats and in their words "won't be able to fulfil our policy" if they can't find foster homes soon. This means our no-kill shelter might just have to make a few exceptions

I want a puppy and have done alot of research into Boxers. I love what I hear, but when people say that they are very high energy and playful...does that mean that they don't really ever just lay down and relax much or just lie around in the evenings after the initial excitement passes?

Because I love the "youthful spirit" and have big plans to keep my puppy motivated and active. I don't like lazy/lap dogs but I'm sure I'll just need some downtime too and was looking for advice from other owners.

Ok i have a Siberian husky so i know what its like to walk big dogs, but I'm just wondering if dog walking is a good idea, i would charge like $5 for a reg size dog but like $10 for a large dog. Another thing is i was going to ask a friend to help me but her dad says we have to work at the pet place in my town but they aren’t hiring and I'm to young to get a job because I'm only 13 and people hire here at like 14 or 15 but then my mom says we should do it so should we talk to her dad about it because this is the best time of year to walk people dog because everyone wants to stay in side because its like -20 out and colder over the weekend and it could be a great opportunity, so please people give good answer and no stupid things please, i Do Not Want to Put Up With It thanks

Which one could survive without live (maybe not dead) animals for food? And doesn't cost that much and would be the best pet.

When I was little my mother volunteered to foster a tiger cub (part of her research in the university). We raised the cub for about 6 months before we return it to the zoo.

How do I do that in the States? Do I need to be scientist to be qualified? Do I need to have big yard or living away from the civillization?

My cat sleeps in a wonderful round furball with her nose tucked under her tail. Does she just ignore the fact that she's smelling her own butt or is there a widespread acceptance of the fact that cats like the smell of their butts?
