Is he just streded out or what? And what can I do to gix this? he looks like he has a mowhawk on his back because he's scrached it off!

Please help! Thanks!

By the way, I'm really VERy sorry for spelling. But when I have a cat sitting on the keyboard I have to type to save time.

Errr. . . Sorry for the typo. Bald is what I ment to say. Don't EVER type with a cat on your lap!

The issue is, he just looks like he's gotten into a fight or soemthing. It doesn't look like Ringworm or anything. ANd it's not anykind of bug. I hope he doesn't have to go to the vet. We already have to take in my cat. Could it just be stress? or he's lonly?

I'm not sure but maybe he has fleas, ticks, mites, lice, or something. I think that you should really look at these sites there are a lot of different itching problems. LOOK AT THE SITE! I looked at it for a bit and I think it will help. Also take it to a vet to check. Good luck! Lice can cause scratching, redness, papules, and SCABS, USUALLY around the head and ears. Lice are larger than mites, and may be seen on the hairs with the naked eye or a magnifying glass.

take him to the vet and he will will give you a solution that he will tell you to spray on your guinea pig. to help prevent your pets from getting fleas give them a BATH:). I give my guinea pigs, rabbits and turtles a bath every 2 weeks or so. it would help make their skin and fur clean. if you dont find a good pet shampoo use, shampoo's for sensitive hair or baby shampoos. good luck.

since your guniea pig lost lots of hair and started bleeding take him to a vet so he dont get infected the vet should not charge you more then 20 dollars. GOOD LUCK

Take him to the vet as soon as you can. My guinea pig has had some similar problems and I don't want to scare you, but get it checked out. Take care.

Go to the vet and talk to them about it. You can get the nails trimed so it won't get worse.

lice (don't worry-you can't get them) and ringworm (which you can get) are really common in guinae pigs. you should bring him to a vet with guinae pig experience.
