Do cats like the smell of their own butt?

My cat sleeps in a wonderful round furball with her nose tucked under her tail. Does she just ignore the fact that she's smelling her own butt or is there a widespread acceptance of the fact that cats like the smell of their butts?

that would depend on the mind of the cat. and the cat's asleep, so it's not really smelling anything. but that would be sickening and hilarious if they actually like the smell of their own ***.

Yeah! My cat does that too! I just think they like dirty smells thats all. I mean Cat treats don't smell good but Cats do! My Cat also likes the smell of the Cat box so yeah they like there butt!

My cat always wants me to smell her butt (she sticks it in my face). I've heard that cats smell each others' butts to identify each other/say hello. Maybe she likes her own smell.

Dogs like to smell cat butts,thier own butts maybe even your butt---but I never noticed my cat sniffing his butt,maybe he's a secret sniffer.

Who knows, it's not always the butt it might be smelling.Maybe the cat might smell her vagina to sense that she is smelly and dirty
and may need to clean herself.
