I have a pit and she is being a little stubborn to my training methods. I have now found a trainer in my area and I'm little nervous to take her. This is not my first rodeo of owning or training a pit and I love the breed and have done my research, so please don't make rude remarks. I just wanted the opinions of other people that have taken their dogs to a trainer and if it worked or not?

I have a nine month old male kitty, and he's just as cute as a button (and purrs whenever you touch him). He just happens to be somewhat destructive! I have venetian blinds on the windows of my apartment, and he chews and plays with them, the string, and completly destroys the blinds! I have several blinds now that I can't close properly and that I'll have to replace when I move; I really need him to stop. He can't possibly be teething anymore...how do I get him to stop biting the blinds? He has plenty of toys around the apartment, as well as two other cats that he raises heck with playing constantly.

my 21 month old retreiver mix was on antibiotics for 10 days for a skin infection he had. a few days into the meds i noticed his stool loosing solidity. after completion of the meds he still had the runs and droops of blood in his stool, so i took a sample in to be tested and it came back negative. a day later he threw up a tiny bit, and that night he woke me up every hour to go outside with the runs. next day, he continued with the runs, and after consuming a bunch of water rapidly, he then began throwing up minutes later. i got him into the vet and he began vomiting bowel with more blood in stool as well, and they couldnt find anything on an xray. (he also has had an increasing loss of appetite over the past two weeks leading up to a complete loss of appetite the past 24 hours.) he had an emergency exploratory surgery and nothing was found in his stomache, intestines, etc.. he stayed in the ER last night and is back at the vet today... and ideas???? the docs are very confused..

My 9 yr old English Springer Spaniel has recently shown a most peculiar behaviour - he has been bringing into the house bits of his own (or my other dog's) excrement (thankfully solid pieces) and chews (or eats, I can't tell) them. He has never shown such bad habit in all the years as he is completely house trained with ready access to the backyard round the clock. Any comments with suggestions of what to do will be most welcomed. Thank you.

I'm moving in with my beloved that has three cats, my German Shepard (female) mix loves to hunt them and chase them (I adopted her 1 year ago - she is about 4 years old). Is there any hope that she will be able to leave the cats alone?? Help.

I have a HUGE problem, i got male/female twin kittens for my daughter for her birthday, and I had every intention of having them fixed before any ummmm mistakes could happen, but i misjudged how long i had to do that... its too late i caught them. Im really worried , bubbles ( the female) seems too young, too small... i had no idea they mated so early. theyre under 10 months old... i guess thats almost a year, but i still see kitten, i had no idea they were near this stage.

What is the worst senerio here, i dont imagine theres anything i can do now??? :( I so didnt want this to happen. We have an adult male who is fixed, and i dont know, they seem so tiny compared to him, Are they mating early??? Im dont know if im more shocked or more bummed out, Its not that i dont love kittens, its just, im worried something could be seriously wrong, like two headed kittens.

I have read something about that on here before but, can't remember what was said.

She does it on a daily basis at least five times (just when I am home at night)...I'm not sure what is going on...should I get this checked out?

Ok I havee a few questions:

1. My first live bearer to give birth was last Thursday. (She is a mickeymouse platie) Ever since she gave birth she seems to not be feeling well. Her top fin has stayed low most of the time like shes not feeling well still or upset. Her color seems a tiny bit off but I am not sure. Maybe a tiny bit blotchy. She hides more then the others. But she dose come out.

2. My black mollie had 17 babies yesturday. Since my first gave birth in the community tank before I figured it out I am not sure how many she had. Ive only found about 7. (some proubly got eaten) But this is my question: I've read they usaully have more like 30-40. I put her back in the community this morning thinking shes had all shes going to have. Is it common to hold some and have a few more in the next days?

3. how do you get the babies out of those net breeding boxes with out squshing them? 4. it seems they poop alot right before birth. Is this a coincadance or a signal?

he has been outside forever and I don't think he wants to come back in. I just don't want him to freeze to death. Another question what do I do about my cats pee smelling so bad. How do I get my female not to mate with my male cats who happen to be her sons.

I am looking to get a small dog that neither sheds nor drools. Also, low energy and cuddly. I realize that each dog has a unique personality but I was just wondering generally. I am looking for breeds or mixes. Or what to look for (behavior), in the individual dog, when adopting from either the breeder or humane society.

Is a dog a substitute for love from other humans ? Do you think lack of parental love causes them to find it elsewhere? How old are these people that dress their dogs? Are they what others call Fur-Babies?

My dog humped my boyfriend's leg last night when I wasn't at home. She has NEVER humped before, and she's a year old, and fixed. I thought it might be dominance, but he said it's almost as if she looked like she couldn't control it. He did scold her in the proper way. I was just wondering why she would do that. Other answers I found only dealt with dominance being the issue. I am very much so the pack leader, and my boyfriend has already established his role over her. Serious answers only, please.

I have a shih-tzu. It was my grandma's and is old, calm, and minds really well. When someone comes over, of course she wants attention from them. My stepdaughters mother just picked my stepdaughter up from my house and my dog was at her legs wagging her tail and trying to get attention and she was like, "oh no, leave me alone, ahhhh."

Can someone really dislike pets that much? It pissed me off. I just want to say, get the hell out of my house if you're going to be rude to my dog. lol.

he's only a pup almost 2 months but I'm a spoiler, I'm so tempted, but I don't want to cause him complications, what's safe to feed him what's not... in general too... I found you can't feed dogs choclate... so is it the sugar no sugar? He ate some cotton candy by mistake, but seems okay... Dogs they'll eat anything... he eats the grass and someone said it's good for him, is that true? How about branches? thanks alot I love this site!

I have a year old Cardigan and am considering adopting another dog. The thing is, I read somewhere once that Cardis do not do well with other non-Cardis. Has anyone else heard of this? I'd hate to bring a dog home and my Cardi not get along with it.
