I have two weims and one dobe.
Some Weims do exhibit markings like doberman markings.
If your dog is grey which is the lighter more popular color in Weims it happens sometimes. Not really sure why but it is considered an undesireable things and a fault in the conformation show ring.
I do not conformation show as I have Blue Weims the very dark gunmetal grey color and it is considered a disqualifying fault in conformation. I do field trial work with my dogs and the hunt. I looked for them specifically to be hunters so color was not really important to me.
I hope your pet is healthly and happy other than having some facial markings. I think they look sort of cool.
If you check out some of the info on Weims you will find that some are marked like yours.

There maybe a bit of dobie somewhere in the past line. Weimies are blue. I have never seen or even heard of anything otherwise. Just like people they can pick up traits from grandfathers/mothers, great grandfathers/mothers, etc.

I'm sure he's gorgeous regardless.

He mustn't be completely purebred. What kind of dobie markings are you talking about?

If it has markings like a dobie its not purebred.

She is probably not pure bred somewhere in her bloodlines.
