When ever the neighbor dogs are outside my dogs constantly attack the fence, biting and scratching at it. They have nearly distroyed the fence and I obviously can not watch them all the time to prevent this. I have yelled at them and caught them in the act but it still continues. Please help!! Desparate home owner.

Hi there,
I have a persian Cat aged 18 months old who is due within the next 2 weeks or so to have her Kittens. However although I know she concieved around the middle of November I'm not sure of the exact date. What signs would I look for when She is ready...apart from the fact that I'd see little Kittens popping out that is...lol
Like what signs show me that she will be preparing for birth. Will she start searching out a place to give birth like a favourite little corner or bed etc...I have a Rottweiler whom she gets on great with but would prefer the Kittens wern't around him as he can get a bit over affectionate & may cause harm un-wittingly
I'd appreciate any help as I really want to be at home with her rather than leave her alone....Thanks Guys.

Hi, I have a 30gal live bearer tank with 5 mollie and 3 platies. A few babies have dropped when I didnt get prego mom out in time. This may happen from time to time so I need a bottom feeder that isnt going to be a serious problem to the occasional fry. Also can anyone think of one for the nursery tanks as well as I dont have a filter system for these because I am afraid of them getting sucked. (even with a spong or fabric over the intake. These babies are small!) Any SAFER bottom feeder ideas would be great!

Everyone is always banging on about how clever dolphins are for example, and all I see them do is swim around and eat a bunch of fish all day. Ok, they can dive through hoops and stuff but that doesn't make them smart like people. Anyone kid could do that and we wouldn't all be saying. ''god that kid is so smart he can swim through a hoop''!! Same with dogs, I mean they are nice but if they are so smart why can't they talk properly instead of meaningless barking all the time? I think humans are much smarter than animals and everyone is just far too sentimental these days about them.

ok theres an animal i always hear at night at my house, and he sorta barks, he only does this at night, it almost sounds like a puppy, or a small dogs bark, but its the same pitch and same yelp everytime. and it doesnt sound painful but it sounds sad. the only thing i can think of that would make this noise around the area i live in would either be a fox or a coyote, does any other animal from the mississippi tenn. area make a noise like this. the noise only happens at night. it might not even be a puppy but it sounds like it is or small, iuno i never can find it i always try to go out and find it , its really loud as well, i can hear it with all the windows downand the tv on.

One of my dogs has a tendency to sit in front of me when strangers are in the house. Repairmen, cable installer, etc...

Yesterday, an electrician inspector told me this is a negative dog behavior/trait.

I don't think it is...who's right?

I have asked my vet and he said that when his adult teeth grow in, this should stop. He is now 2 yrs old and it still does it. Although its actually cute, I wonder if this will ever pose as a problem. It hangs out about an inch and a half on the left side. He drinks out of his bowl from the left side and takes treats the same way. He sleeps with it out and everything. It does not seem to be a problem but I was just curious as to why it does that.

A man is walking his dog on a lead towards home at a steady 4 mph. When they are 10 miles from home the man lets the dog off the lead. The dog immediately runs off towards home at 6 mph. When the dog reaches the house it turns around and runs back to the man at the same speed. When it reaches the man it again turns back for the house. This is repeated until the man gets home and lets in the dog. How many miles does the dog cover from being let off the lead to being let in the house?

I drove from Boise, Idaho to Princeton, West Virginia in mid-November to buy a 6 week old English Bulldog pup from my daughter's close friend who owns a male and female English Bulldog.
After the pup grew taller and leaner, I questioned whether the pup was purebred. The breeder responded to my questions and request for a refund by saying that a Boxer and an English Bulldog mix is called an American Bulldog and since I still bought a Bulldog he refuses to refund my money. I would never have crossed the country to buy a mixed breed dog. What are my options to get this back yard breeder to refund my money?

I have a one year old German Sheppard, and a 2 year old female cat. I never got either of them fixed because it just seemed cruel. Now, the dog is always humping furniture and people, and the cat is always going into heat and making all sorts of racket. For the last few months I've let the dog and the cat "mate". It seems odd, but the cat stops whining and the dog seems to enjoy it so I saw no harm. I started finding blood in the litter box, and noticing the cat behaving oddly. Will allowing them to do this cause any long term problems for the cat or the dog?
