My fiance and I got a new kitten a month ago. It is a boy and he is just now 11 weeks old. He is really small for his age, about 1 pound right now. We also have a 4 year old girl cat. She is not the nicest cat in the entire world by far!! She hates people and only wants to be loved when convenient for her (which is usually in the middle of the night).
Well, I have been reading on here about her establishing dominance and all that. I completely understand that. However, it is getting a little bit ridiculous.
We keep him in a bedroom while we sleep and while we are at work because we don't trust her yet. When we are home he is free to roam around but we have to keep him right beside us because she torments him! She acts obsessed when he is in the room. She stalks him and pounces and bats at him. (She is declawed thank God!) The worst thing is she will get him in a corner and just sit there and stare at him. He won't budge.
Anyone ever encountered this problem?

Many states r trying to pass breed specific laws that make owning a pit-bull illeagal. The laws not only make it illeagal to buy a new pit-bull, but any pit-bulls that r currently owned in the state where the statutes r being passed r being taken from their owners and being put to death, regardless of any wrong doing on the owner or the dog's part. Pets that have been family members 4 years r being taken from their homes by people who would like to make the breed extinct altogether. I was just wondering if anyone else besides me feels that this is a travesty of the most unthinkable type. People fight to keep sharks and all kinds of other breeds of animals far more dangerous than pit-bulls from extinction, but yet we r passing laws that r going 2 make an entire species extinct!! Who do these people think they r? They aren't God. Also anyone that agrees with these laws, I just want 2 know what ur justification is for them?Would u make any animal that has ever hurt someone extinct?

I am trying to change my cat's diet. i used to feed him half a tin of whiskers (wet food) in the morning, and half a tin in the evening. He isn't extremely over-weight, but is a little big. and am trying to change his food to iams, as i've heard it's better for him, but he only eats a mouthful, or he will refuse it totally. i'm starting to feel really guilty, as i don't want him to be hungry, but want him to eat healthy food!!! what can i do?!

I received an e mail that stated that the ingredients in the cleaning solution in the Swiffer mop will cause cancer in dogs. They lick the paws after walking in it. My dog just died of cancer and I want to know if this is the cause.

We're just getting started and I'd like to begin making product selections. Can you recomend wholesale companies for horse decor, tack, equine supplies, feed and supplements, vet care, toys, ect. We'll be opening in the Central texas area and there aren't any nice tack stores near buy- It would be great for people boarding, neighbors with horses, the kids that come to horse camp, and our web site. i currently have two dogs that can't be together at all because they fight. i do not want to get rid of one of them but do understand that might be the best answer. i am looking for a good suggestions that i might be able to do to calm them. they are both the same age, female and around the same weight. one we have had to a few years the other a few months. this just recently began, not when we took the new dog in! please help!

I have 2 chihuahuas that are over a year, and their three puppies who will be 5 months, on Feb.2. I feed my older dogs Royal Canin Mini Chihuahua 28, that was recommended by my vet, and I feed the puppies, a different type of food, vet recommended. On the Royal Canin Bag, it says not to feed this to puppies under 8 months old. I have them set up in different rooms because I don't want them getting into each others food, but there may be a slight chance, that the pups may have eaten a little of the Royal Canin, and I was wondering, it that is dangerous, or is it ok, if they ate some?

I have a Betta fish that has tail rot. I put medicine in the fish tank and have to clean it good now. I am not sure if I am supposed to put my fish in a bag in the fish tank to get used to the new water, like when you first get them, or what else to do . Can somebody please help me?
