We're just getting started and I'd like to begin making product selections. Can you recomend wholesale companies for horse decor, tack, equine supplies, feed and supplements, vet care, toys, ect. We'll be opening in the Central texas area and there aren't any nice tack stores near buy- It would be great for people boarding, neighbors with horses, the kids that come to horse camp, and our web site. Thanks!

I've always liked Valley Vet Supplies, they have a website.

It depends on what color the flats are, but I'd go with those. In the idea case, they'd be brown, black, or grey. Wear dark dress pants, a skirt with tights, or a dress, but if you don't have any of those, dark colored non-ripped jeans will work. Avoid wearing loud colors like bright yellow (softer yellow may be OK), hot pink, red, etc. Try to stick to white or pastel colors for your top. A simple blouse works, if you don't have any "quieter" clothes. Pull your hair back, and use pins/clips to create a neat and tidy look. Add some earrings (not the huge hoop kind or cute little smiley faces!) and you should be set! Make sure before you go in you grab a mint or two, but NO gum! Make sure you are polite, speak correctly (no yeahs, dunno's, or cuzes!), and try to seem like a happy person (but don't talk their face off). Despite the idea that this is a feed store, you'll want to dress as though you are applying for a job in a fancy office.

Valley Vet is really cheap, and good. Stateline Tack is nice, but a tiny bit more expensive.

ebay is where I have found the best deals, I bought a Billy cook saddle in mint condition for 500, and a circl y saddle for my daughter for 450. Go under specific brand names you are looking for, alot of ppl have no reserves.
