I have a year old Cardigan and am considering adopting another dog. The thing is, I read somewhere once that Cardis do not do well with other non-Cardis. Has anyone else heard of this? I'd hate to bring a dog home and my Cardi not get along with it.

Before committing to a certain pet, do a home trial first. it is true that they frequently "don't get along with others". A puppy, if you have time and money for one, might be better for the existing dog, so maybe your dog won't feel as threatened. Whoever you get a dog from, let them know your situation and you need to do a test run first, anywhere from 1 day to 1 week. When you introduce the two, keep your dog on a leash for control. They can be very defensive and may cause harm to an intruder, so be very careful.

My mom has a corgi and a rat terrier. They are best buddies. The terrier will use the corgi for a step to get onto something if the corgi is laying in the way. The run and play well together. You should be okay, test them out first. good luck.

I don't know anything about Welsh Corgis except that Ein, the dog in Cowboy Bebop, is a Corgi. But, you like Battlefield and "Born Slippy," so I'll take this time instead to say "you rock." Yay you!
