I have seen this previously on eBay , but it is now unavailable. It is like a typical plastic medium size dog bed that is made out of either clear plastic or acrylic, instead of the normal opaque ones.

I have a big room in my house for my washer, dryer, computer. Its like an office and a wash room in 1 big room.
When I leave the door open to the kitchen by accident, my 7 yr old chihuahua runs up the stairs into a spare bedroom and poops on the nice plush carpet in less time than it took to bring in a bag of groceries. She has done it 4 or 5 times now. She has the whole basement, and utility room to herself, but prefers to crap on the floor in the spare bedroom. Why is she doing this? How can I get her to knock it off.

Balthasar passed away tuesday night at 1230. When we came home his sister was waiting for us and seem to catch on. She was a chatty cat but she only chirped occasionally. Now her chirps are almost long meows, and she does deep throaty ones. It doesnt take much to get her to talk now. before if you stared at her for like 10 minutes she would chirp. She still runs around like shes on crack but she also walks around looking for him or something. Another thing she does is climb on the bed and cuddlle up between my husband and i. Its almost like shes taking over responsibilities that her brother had, like meowing more, climbing in the bed and being affectionate. Is this normal behavior for a mourning kitten? Balthasar died of FIP or so they say and i have her going to the vet to test her out. i was hoping to get another cat in about 3months. If i can find another cat that looked like him and named it Balthasar II would that be healthy for me, or would i keep spiraling down into depression??

When doing weekly water changes, how should the sand be cleaned?

I have been told to stir it with something like a chopstick, and also the gravel vac. Which is better?

When stirring, don't you have to get every inch? Kinda confused dunno why.

My vet suggested as early as 16 weeks but my cat owner friends and the breeder insisted it should be done when he comes to certain weight around 5 or 6 months old due to the sedation dose. He's 13 weeks old now, and weights 3.5 lb. Which one do you think better time for him? Thanks.

We own two parakeets and the breeder we bought them from told us that the cere on the beak would change color (like to pink or brown, or whatever) and that would tell us if the parakeets were male or female. The breeder told us the cere would change color by the time the parakeets were 1 years old. However, the parakeets are now 3 years old and there is no visible cere. It is not brown or any color. One parakeet's beak is just plain black, and the other is a pale orange color. What's going on with the cere????

According to experts, the answer is no.

Why? Popular breeds come and go. When ownership of one breed of dog is outlawed, those who want a dangerous dog simply turn to another breed. The Doberman pinscher—known as the dangerous dog breed of the 1970s—was replaced in popularity by the pit bull in the ’80s and the rottweiler in the ’90s. Breed-specific laws require that someone be able to prove that a specific dog is a member, or a mix, of that breed—not always an easy task. Boxers and bulldogs, for instance, may be mistaken for pit bulls. Any medium-large sized black and tan dog with a long tail may be mistakenly labeled as a German shepherd. Breed-specific legislation doesn’t acknowledge the fact that a dog of any breed can become dangerous. The law should protect your community from any such dog. Breed-specific laws are difficult, costly, and sometimes impossible to enforce. It’s one thing to require that every rottweiler in your community be muzzled whenever outside of the home; it’s another to fund and support adequate animal control staff to ensure that this happens. In 1987 the Cincinnati City Council banned all pit bulls within the city after a series of severe maulings and one human fatality involving the dogs. The ban was passed even though the state of Ohio and the city of Cincinnati already had statutes that allowed authorities to seize any dog known to have injured or killed a person or another dog. Nearly ten years later, the council’s law committee recommended that the ban be repealed, saying that it was unnecessary. The council recommended that pit bulls be handled like any other dogs and that owners be prosecuted only when the dogs were unrestrained or exhibited dangerous behavior. It made this recommendation in part due to the cost of enforcement. Confiscated dogs spent up to five months at the city’s contracted shelter while the cases against the dogs’ owners were being litigated. Many of the confiscated dogs were family companions with no history of aggression. Legislation that restricts breeds may actually create a population of dangerous dogs within your community. When a community imposes strict regulations on a specific breed of dog, owners of those dogs may end up chaining or caging the dogs for long periods of time. Dogs so chained or caged can be so desperate for activity that they become uncontrollable should they escape. Restricted dogs often receive little veterinary care because it is difficult for their owners to transport them to a veterinary facility without violating restrictions. Most importantly, restricted dogs who don’t get to experience normal opportunities for socialization and training will undoubtedly act in an unpredictable fashion when exposed to the real world
