I feed my 7 month old German Shepherd Pedigree Large breed dry food. She does'nt eat it very well and scratches a lot. I only have Nutrience, Pro Pac, Trail Blazer, Pedigree, Field Trial and Trail Blazer to choose from. Which is best for my dog?

I took my cat to the vet yesterday and his gumline on the top is red. The vet said it was gingivitis. He said it would be $150-$200 to clean it up. I can't afford that but want to help my kitty. What can I do for him at home to get rid of the gingivitis? Do they have kitty listerine or something? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have like a 7week old rottweiler, and it still has its tail, its about 1" in diameter.I want the tail to be off
now i kno you can put a rubber band around it so that it looses it's circulation and blood flow and sometimes doesn't hurt the dog at all.in some cases. My friend put a small hair tie around it about 1inch away from the body?and it was on there for about 5days, it bothered him as time went by.. then somebody told him there gonna get in trouble for cruelty or sum bs. and so he took it off. its been 2days wit out it on, the tail is still on, but u can tell that there has been a rubberband and that it was already losing blood flow.

Wouldyou rather have a rubber band around it to loose blood flow, so it will shrink and shrivel and fall off. rather then taking it in and the vet cuz the dogs tail off or watever they do. my dad has done the rubberband thing and it DEFINETLY doesnt hurt the dogs like as if the tail was clipped. it only bothers her when she lays on it certain way

I have a 2 1/2 yr old black lab that is full of energy all the time. I take her out everyday for at least one hour but I will occassionally walk her for up to two hours. My friends say that I am walking her too long and too often, could taking her out for so long end up hurting her?

I have three cats and each one has their own box, and we change it everyday so it isn't a real problem he doesn't cover it up. It used to kill me that he goes through the motions of covering it up but doesn't actually touch the litter. Then again, he does drink with his paw, so maybe he isn't stupid. Is this normal for a cat?

Thanks.

My boss left his turtle at the office for the staff to take care of. He provided a red food and endive to offer him and told us it had to be hand fed, but it has been 5 days and it has not eaten. Should we worry? Should we leave the food in the tank for it? I'm not sure of the species, but it is a small land turtle, like a box turtle. Thanks for you help!

I want to find a pet suitable for home life. I hear Shih Tzus are pretty good companions, that they're really nice and a lot of fun to be around. But also that they're high maintenance. What do you think?

How can i get my cat to like being outside?
i have had my cat since he was 8 weeks old.
he is now nearly 2 years old.

he has been brought up indoors as i live in a block of flats and untill recently all the neighbours had dogs.

even tho he has had the snip, my cat can be vicious so when he was six months old i started walking him on a lead to get him used to being outside as the vet suggested letting him out as maybe it would help calm him down.

since last week i decided to take him out without his lead. he didnt run off to explore like i thought he would he just ran straight to the front door of the block and meowed ever so loudly untill i let him back in.

its a safe area where i took him near the flats and its quite as its away from the road.

he always runs straight back to the block.
if i dont let him in he meows untill someone lets him in.

I raise LoveBirds & Cocatiels my Cocatiels laid 5 egg's 3 was fertile i candled them. The Cockatiels lost interest after sitting on them for about 2 weeks. I put the egg's in with the LoveBirds the Mother buried the egg's for 3 day's. After she laid her first egg, she uncovered two of the Cockatiels eggs and is now sitting on them. Do they stand a chance? When i noticed the Cocatiels wasn't sitting on the egg's, the egg's was only cold a few hours. As far as my LoveBirds, they have alway's been GREAT Parents.
