This lady on craigslist posted a topic on her cat being stuck 75 ft up in a tree, no one will help her she called around everywhere, the fire department said they wont help unless a person is stuck in the tree with the cat, If anyone has any ideas on how we can help this poor kitty who has been trapped up there for almost 5 days please help!! I'm concerned because not only is it starving and cold, but she also said a hawk has been eyeing the poor kitty. Any help, anything at all please comment!! Thank you!

Hi, thanks for reading.

My new pup is agressive during play. Sometimes when I tell her to stop, she does but then she growls. Is she trying to dominate me? Is she going to turn out to be a big agressive dog? What could I do to test what she is thinking? I need to know whether she just plays rough or if she is trying to take over , so I can nip any dominance or aggressiveness in the bud before she gets too big.

I am setting up a tropical fish tank and I have been reading heaps of information about the fishless cycling. I'm pretty confused because they are all different.
Does anyone know the steps I need to follow, to cycle my tank?
The tank is 60cm by 31cm by 33 cms.

Recently we bought a betta fish and we had it home only about one day and it's dead already. The girl at Petsmart said they can survive in tap water so that is what I used. Did I kill it with the water? I didn't overfeed it because I hadn't even fed it yet. I also made sure the tap water was room temp. Any ideas what happened to our little Tony? (he was male)

or can u suggest some cute dogs?

He's the cutest... sometimes. But I live in a small flat (on the 4th floor) and this just isn't enough to entertain him despite his array of toys! It's like having a new born... I haven't had a good nights sleep in months. He is still young (just under a year) and we had him castrated already.... the main problem is him waking up at about 5 and keeping me awake because he wants feeding... any suggestions?

If you're wondering why so many people are so adamant about people getting their dogs and cats fixed, please click on this link, and watch. And there are more videos as well;you might want to check them out, epecially the "kill box" video. Then you'll know why it's better to spay and neuter than to breed indiscriminately.

I just got a Doberman Pincher puppy, weve had him now for 2wks. He's almost 3 months old.

There a couple of options out there as far as pet insurances goes, but whats the best?

Do yo have pet insurance, if so, what would you recommend?

I just got two 8 week old kittens who were a bit undersocialized at first, but now seem to be getting better... well anyway when i hold either of them they seem content because they purr and everything, but they get distracted very easily and usually end up jumping out of my arms after about 30 seconds. they usually get distracted by each other, or just anything.... is this just a kitten attention span thing, or do they feel a bit uncomfortable when i hold them? they don't seem uncomfortable, which is why i am confused. Should i just let them jump out of my arms then try again? will i ever be able to hold them for longer than 30 seconds? what should i do that can help me be able to hold them as adult cats?

I just recently got 2 kittens who are 8 weeks old; a boy and girl from the same litter. They are very sweet and were a bit undersocialized when i got them, but now they will happily purr when given attention.... the only problem is that they always seem to be distracted by each other. When they are around each other, they seem more interested in playing and fighting and cuddling with each other rather than humans. It's cute, but i would like it if they were more eager for human attention. How can i get their attention more directed towards me? Would it work if i spend a couple days at a time seperating each other, so they can learn to depend upon human attention just as much as each other? Is this just a kitten thing and will they grow out of it, or should i start working on getting their attention more to human cuddling and petting?

Oh and things i have tried already:
interactive play with toys
bringing one into another room
plenty of time petting and loving

Ok I am wanting to know what are the best lap dogs. I am talking a dog breed that likes to play with kids but also loves to sit in a persons lap or sit beside them on a couch or sleep with them in a bed and just be spoiled rotten. A breed that has energy but has calm moments as well. Overall easy to train to sit and stay and socializes well.

I got a girl labrador from the same pet shop 4 years ago. i had to put her down when she was 2 because she had very servere hip dysplasia and had pra. i thought i would get another pup from the same shop and i thought they would have changed. so this is what my question and problem is...!

i went to the pet shop to look at the puppies they have there (atleast 40) and i saw a cute little boy chihahua for $900 so i bought him because i was looking for a chi pup for atleast 7 months prior to this. he was actually $1500 but they lowered his price because he was 7 weeks old and was to hard to sell now. after signing all the paper, i took him home and took a look at him because they said their vet was unavilable for 3 days on holidays. i found he had a cold, a scab on his left cheek, crust stuff OVER his pen!s and he limped a LITTLE BIT. (this was all yestersay) he has not broken thru the crust on his pen!s, his scab now has gone all black, he is limping a bit more and his cold has ....

My cat is a little overweight, she is fluffy. Everytime I brush her, these little hair balls get stuck in her fur and I have to cut them out. Also she has white little flakes in her fur, and she has a little extra ski when i pet her, like under her chin, on her stomach. She is only 4-5. Should I be concerned? She also hasnt had a checkup for years.

..."dont breed your puppy, you should get them neutered instead"?

My puppy is 7 wks old. I just want to know the age of males when they are able to breed. My female is a cpl of years older. Ive already beentold that that doesnt matter when it comes to breeding them. I also asked how long is she in heat for? I already know she goes into heat 2x a year, but for how long each time? We are getting our breeders license. We have Bassett Hounds. They are registered. Bassett Hounds are one of the #1 wanted breeds in our area because they are hard to find. We were lucky to find ours. We love this particular breed because or their personality and are not in it for the money. Can I please get a real answer and not be judged by wanting to breed my pets? My question I am referring to can be seen here....http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArtcKcRE3hTAub1ToumwPxjsy6IX?qid=20070124133606AANydwt

Thank you very much.

She is five. I've tried distracting her with her favorite catnip toys in the hallway outside of my kitchen while also trying to prepare food, and eat it....it doesn't really work. She gets under my feet sometimes which really bugs me. I tell her to go lay down in the hallway and 50% percent of the time she will comply after repeat verbal cues. Anyone have any better ideas on trying to get a cat to stop her begging habit (its like a dog's, honestly).

just giuve me a basic outline of when you feed them how much and what. Also if you should leave for the whole day or take away certain bits and if you should give them different food each day for a variety.
Please help!
