Sounds like the trainer thinks your dog needs more exercise. Tons of people use bicycles to help their dogs get exercise. As Long as the run is not excessive and as long as the dog is offered plenty of water, I'm sure he'll be fine.

If the dog is over weight then yes it will effect his heart but if he is a perfectly Healthy then why dose he have to run in the first place you could just walk hm every night & let him run around in your yard or at the park.

make your dog? what are you training the dog for? is the dog ill? is it a motorcycle? if it's at a good pace and your dog is healthy and safe where the dog is running with the cycle then no, it's a good form of exercise. if you're talking bicycle. more info please.
