Me and my family just bought a Shih Tzu pup who is 10 weeks old. We've had him for about a week and cannot think of a name for him, he is solid dark brown ( we don't wanna call him fudge or chocolate )...anybody have any name suggestions not associated with his color??

I don't have a name suggestion but you are smart not to pick a name associated with his color. Your Shih Tzu may not stay solid dark brown. Coat colors in this breed can change drastically. It is amazing how the coat "can" change from dark brown to gold or even grey as they mature.

when I got my shih tzu, i considered naming him Ewok (the creature from star wars) cause he looks exactly like Ewok. (if you don't know how he looks like google Ewok...the features are very similar! ) But the name isn't that flattering. so I changed his name to something cuter.
I like to name dogs after their characteristics.
such as sleepy, Poo poo, stinky, poo bear...
some people also think that shih tzu look like Gizmo
