Hey! I have a cockapoo (cocker spaniel and poodle mix) and he is awesome! He is fully grown at 12 pounds, only barks when door rings or playing, is well tempered, loves to cuddle and since part poodle doesn't shed. He does like to get out for a good walk and run in park but at home easy to keep in an apartment. These dogs come is a variety of sizes, colours and known to live long lives. Only thing I found is that he does have to be brushed a min. of 2x's a week to avoid matting, but he likes it. When I was looking for a pup I did alot of research and found that cross breds seem to be more well tempered, have less health problems and are as a bonus are less expensive to buy! Good luck on your search for the perfect puppy for you! (For pic of cockapoos, check out the breeder website I used garafraxa kennels.)

Any dog is trainable if you actually work with it. Terrier breeds are very smart and easy to train but also super active and need lots of attention. But you sound like you want a lap dog; a dog that's not hyper and will just be laid back. So basically cut out the terrier breeds and you can practically have your pick of what other small dogs are out there.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMRU1

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

small dogs are always good. ill actually advise you to get a mongrel as they live long and are smart depending what breeds are in them. just dont over indulge small dogs as they are quite controlling and take over the furniture. i myself have a small mut and i have to keep a firm hand with him at all times.
