Hi, I heard that Dalmatians have been over bred, causing them to be high strung and difficult to train. I don't know how much truth there is to it, but the article I read said that when the movie 100 Dalmatians came out, dog breeders started to over breed their dogs so as to have as many as possible to sell. If you have a large yard or property a Labrador is a great dog. They are very easy to train, very active, love swimming and are very loving.

dalmations are beutiful dogs, but they need a lot of room to run, and they are sometimes not so social with you.. if you want a fluffy doggy that will give you attention, goto the local animal shelter and adopt the first one that 'jumps' out at you... you dont need to look for a specific breed, if you want a good dog... adopt one from the shelter... those are the very best dogs around!!
but no matter what breed you do get, keep in mind your living situation ( are you in a big house/big yard or an apt? ) do you want a breed that needs to be groomed alot? do you want a breed to be a lap dog or to protect a bit? some breeds dont like kids, other breeds love kids... do a bit of online research, that will give you a better idea of a dog you can get along with for a long time.... remember, shelter!!!!

I had a dalmation, from my experience and what I have read it's a beautiful dog but not generally the most intelligent or easiest to train. If your an experienced dog owner then you can do fine with one but a dalmation might not be a good first dog.

DAlmations while very cute and prone to be high strung, sometimes ill tempered & are more prone to deafness at birth than most dogs....I also have been told that they tend to be rather stubbon & hard to train.....I have met some beautifull very friendly Dals in my day but have also met some VERY aggressive ones....mosst of this i do believe to overbreeding & improper breeding habits by the breeder....honestly unless you are a vertren dog owner w a lot of time & patience to train a dog that might give you more of a challenge Id opt for a different breed....BEST OF LUCK TO YOU

my opinion is that they are kinda stupid and that there are better looking dogs. But try to look up other breeds based on needs they require and what you can provide for them so dont limit yourself to just one breed. That will help if you are planning to keep it inside or if you need a tall fence so your dog wont jump out.
I would say since dalmations were overbred and to only buy from akc breeders not back yard breeders because they might be more ill tempered than akc registered dogs
i personally prefer siberian huskies they are adorable and they are gentle and dont bark much.only when they have too

never ever buy a dog because of looks... you should go to AKC.org and read about the different breeds and what they were bred for - dalmations have been bred for years for their spotted coats - seems many are now lacking "brains" not the easiest breed to train

dalmations are definetly the cutest of all the dogs BUT they have been overbred and inbred to the point where they are almost always ill tempered kinda like a pitbull but less loyal/protective of the owner. I had one for a while and it did't have much of bad temper but it chewed on everything constantly
I'd look for something else

i think of human beings could be allowed to be who they're and love who they choose to love. i come across it humorous that the gay human beings, people who're the main judged are the least judgemental human beings i be responsive to. i bypass to a on the instant bar and that i see women and adult males struggling with, speaking sh**, and making relaxing of human beings. i bypass to a gay bar and that they settle for all human beings who's attainable in, gay or not. they only have relaxing, savour being themselves, and enable others do the comparable. i think of there are countless on the instant people who ought to apply some instructions from gay human beings on the thank you to address others. in basic terms for the record i'm on the instant yet have gay associates.

Damations are pretty but not social enough to trust and not as eager to please the owner as other dogs. Stubborn yes.
