Perhaps, I am reading the question wrong but, why would they scrap the uterus if she is fixed. They remove it during spaying. I think your dog just has a UTI and needs to see a vet for an antibiotic.

I would get her to a vet immediately. I just had to put my 8 year old boxer to sleep two days ago. About 2 and half months ago, she started having difficulty urinating and the vet gave us antibiotics, thinking it was a urinary tract infection. Well, the antibiotics didn't help and she started bleeding when she urinated. So, we took her back and they did an X-ray which showed something near her bladder. To be sure they sent us to a specialist who did an ultrasound that revealed a huge tumor near the exit of her bladder. The vet basically told us there wasn't much we could do in the way of surgery or chemo as this type of cancer tends to be very aggressive. She prescribed us meds that they use on human for arthritis. The effect it has on dogs, is that it was shown to reduce or slow the growth of tumors and act as a painkiller. With the medication, we were able to keep her with us for little longer, until, this weekend, the cancer got the best of her. I promised her from the beginning that I would not let her suffer so when I saw the look in her eyes, I knew it was time to let her go. I hope that this is not the case with your boxer, but I learned that boxer's have a predisposition to certain forms of cancer. The sooner you get her checked, the more chances you have of saving or prolonging her life.

It sounds as though it could be urinary rather than anything else. Dogs that slobber dehydrate quicker that normal dogs and don't always drink enough causing bladder irritation and infections. Also dry food can cause the urine to be concentrating also causing infection if the dog is not hydrated properly. i am not saying that you do not give your dog enough to drink - it is just that some don't feel thirsty and drink enough!
Good luck with your baby, I am sure she will be OK and see your vet to put your mind at rest!

I'd take her to the vet or at the least call them and explain what is going on. She might just have a uninary tract infection or something. I wouldn't wait though because it might get worse and very uncomfortable for your boxer.

Why is she not spayed? It might remedy the problem. At 9 she should not be bred anyway. I would talk to my vet and see if spaying would fix the problem once and for all. Boxers are prone to tumors that can be cancerous. Get advise from a professional immediately.

I recommend you call your vet, today. This could be a urinary tract infection, and could be a potential problem, especially with her history. Good luck.

IF I WAS YOU, I WOULD TAKE HER TO THE VET RIGHT AWAY. MY HUSBAND JUST LOST HIS DOG OF KIDNEY FAILURE AND HE WAS URINATING BLOOD AS WELL AND IT CAME JUST ALL OF THE SUDDEN. HE WAS AN OLDER DOG JUST LIKE YOUR PRECIOUS BABY. LIKE I SAID, IF I WAS YOU, I'D BE VERY CONCERNED. BEST OF LUCK, I HOPE IT ISN'T ANYTHING LIFE THREATENING.
