we've had her since she was old enough to wean, a (now 3lb.) chihuahua named Zoe. She is VERY sociable, but for some reason when we (ahem) get close, she insists on wedging herself between us and licking our faces. i dont want to have to lock her out of the room just to cuddle up and make out. why is she acting this way? what can i do? Has anyone ever experienced this?

On Christmas eve my horse was going crazy in the turn out and took a turn too fast and too sharp, he tripped himself and fell HARD. He got up, cantered and trotted around like nothing happened and he wasn't even off on it when he totted. I ran in and felt his leg, no bleeding no swelling (yet). It didn't hut him (yet). I took him out and ran water on it for about 20 minutes. I came back the next day and there was swelling I gave him bute for 3 days in a row the swelling went down because of the bute. But when i took him off the bute he was headbobbing lame. So i gave it to him that night and then no more since. Now the past few days i have felt it and he has a sack of swelling around it that feels like water in a plastic bag. I ask my trainer to look at it today and she called the vet and he told her that he could have chipped something on his bone. But wouldn't he be lame on it? Which he isn't! It's on his stifle. Should I ride him or wait fo the vet to come in a week?

to make a long long story short, i have a cichlid that is suffering from ammonia poisioning--he is floating belly up and sometimes laying on bottom, still belly up. Is there any chance of recovery? he has been like this for 36 hours. I think he is floating this way because of the gases that are released in the body cavity as internal organs are destroyed by the poisioning, I may be way off, I hope so, is there any help for him???? He also seems to have fin rot, but thats really the least of my worries right now.

Alright, so tomorrow I am adopting a beagle from the local animal shelter. She was found as a stray, and I went to see her today, and she is the SWEETEST thing ever. She even crawled up into my lap when we were playing. So I need to do some shopping so that I am ready for her when she's able to come home. The things I know I need to get for sure are:

Toys, leash, collar, food/water bowl, bed (any special kinds?)

Those are the only things for sure that I know I need,

so I guess what my question is out of the things listed, what else do I need? And are there any special kinds of the stuff I know I need that I should get?

Does anyone know anything special on beagles? I think I have heard that they like to talk....? I am not entirely sure

So any help you guys have to offer would be GREATLY appreciated because I am honestly at a loss of what else I need for her haha

Thanks!!

I have 3 blue cory catfish and today I noticed there are 4 or so babies swimming in my tank. I also have a silverdollar and an alge eater and I wanted to know if I need to do something or if the other fish will eat them.

My pregnant dog is an outside dog and we are having a really bad ice storm and its absolutely freezing and I brought her in the house so just in case she had her pups tonight they would be okay. But she refused to stay so I had to let her out she has a big dog house and won't go in it either. So what should I do?

My dog is a carin terrier and when we have a fire in our fire place she layes against the frie place (she really layes against the fire place). and then she starts panting but still layes there, we pick her up and move her away but then she goes right back to the fire. it's weird, it's not cold in our house ever.

One of my babies (hes 11 months today, but he's still my baby) is so
easily bruised. If he flies somewhere and bumps into something, he
scrapes the skin on his nose or some feathers on his head fall out.
Yesterday all 4 had a night scare and went crazy in the cage. I let
them out so they would calm down and 3 of them were fine, just a bit
scared. The 4th one however, had some blood on the bottom of his
wing. This is not the first time this has happened. When he just
began to fly, he would land in the wrong areas and hurt his wing and
one or twice broke some feathers on it. (They later all fell out by
themselfs). Today he tried to fly up, but landed on my bed. I was
just wondering if there is anything I can do to help him out with
his wing. He has some dried blood on it from last times and a bit
from last night. Is there vitamins or something I can give him that
would allow his wing to heel?
I had this problem with my 7 year old birdy when she was about a
year old. The same area on the wing was bleeding everything she
would bump into something or hurt herself. After a while it just
stopped and she has not had problems with that wing ever since.

Is this just because he is little? Does he need time for his wing to
fully develope and become stronger? Is there anything I can do?

Thanks.

I have a Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hyde cat. 98% of the time he is calm, mellow, and the best darn cat there is. The other 2% of the time, something seems to spook him, he gets all skittish, and races all over my apartment, leaps on top of the couch or counter, knocks things over, and just looks like he’s out of his mind. What do I do to get him to mellow out? I give him toys, love, affection, nothing seems to work. He’s about 2 and a half years old, neutered, and declawed (I didn’t do it to him, but thank god he is) he’s an only cat. He also still has a bad habit of chewing paper. Anything I can do about that?

Hey Everyone :)
I was just wondering how I could help animals in need. I am only 13 years old and some places say that I am too young but I think that is kind of "un-fair". I mean I know quite a bit about different animals and I would love to help them. I would do ANYTHING. Cleaning cages, walking dogs,...etc... I live in Australia, Sydney. So if you know any clinics like RSPCA that would "hire" me that would be great. Plus I don't care if I am paid or not. Thx for your help everyone!
