My cat is at the vets office right now. Her claws are so curved they are growing in to her paw pads and they are infected. Its like an ingrown nail on a human but like 100 times worse. The vet said the best thing to do is declaw her or i could get her sedated and have him clip her nails every two weeks. Which is worse then declawing her because having her sedated can cause problems.

I knew some one who had one of her toenails removed because she kept getting ingrown nails, and my grandma had her fingertips cut off when she was young in the 1930's she was 19 years old. and she handled it fine.

I am on a fixed income and I cannot afford to take her in to the vet it will cost about $1539 a year to take her in to be clipped and under $200 to have her declawed and the vet said declawing her is my best bet.

Before I took her to the vet I took her to a couple groomers and they said they won't touch her.

What should I do? I cant let her suffer. I dont want any thing bad to happen.

we have now been re-united with her as she was chipped thankfully. Unfortunately she seems to be extremely violent towards our other 2 cats that are actually her daughters. We realise that she has probably had to fend for herself and been through some scrapes, but now that she is home, how do we set about keeping her calm and re-integrateing her with her daughters.

When I went to look at him for the first time he came to my shoulder and was so loving and even kissed my lips, which I loved! But since I got him home (6 months ago) he comes out of the cage, eats from my hand but some times when I want to put food on the cage he trys to bite me and when I sit to watch TV. he screams and screams at me for attention, but as soon as I get close, he goes away. Please help me if you know about this kind of bird, because I'm even considering the posibility of selling him. I want a bird that I can love, not one that doesn't want me.

I got a Beta in a large vase. 2 days later I added a peace lily. He really took to it and was always up in the roots but usually squirmed away. A few days later I found him dead in the roots. Could I have overfed him in 5 days or was it too cold in the house (around 65 degrees)?

If you ran over your dog and were told by the vet he had no internal injurys but that his wrist pin was broke and it would cost a lot of money $1500 for her to try and fix it.. would you pay the money or have the dog put down?

We have a six month old neutered male yellow lab mix -- he is very sweet and fairly mild mannered. We'd like to get a second pup and wonder if gender matters or if it is just personality as to whether the two pups will get along and be pals. What is your experience?

Hi guys!
I am so sad. Today we neutered our cat. We had to drop him in vet's place and we picked him up like 4 hours later, to make sure anasthesia wears off and he is doing ok.
When we came there and woman brought him to us-he was shaking, meowing loud, freaking out.
We brought him home-he could hardly walks, his back legs were so weak and clumsy.
He got better now a little bit, but he still acts a little bit weird, scared of everyhing and even hissed at me couple of times for no reason even though he recognizes me and is not scared of me.
I feel so sad for him , its been a huge stress today for poor guy.
I just wanted to know is it normal behavior after neutering and it it will go away.
I hope he will not be scared of everything now and will trust us again:(
