The only way you can get rid of them is if you kill them, sorry to say. Unless you can find anyone who wants some snails, maybe to feed their fish like clown loaches or something, but otherwise that's the only way. If you really want to get rid of them, clean out your tank completely, gravel, sand, etc you can leave the water in, then just wash the inside of the tank and the gravel or sand down really good. The reason you have more snails is because snails breed on their own, one snail is both sexes, therefore they only need one snail to reproduce. Hope this helped. Good luck with the snails.

I ran into that same dilema a few months of go. I had one huge like inch half sized gold mystery snail and one small less then cm black mystery snail. We never thought they would breed but they did and within a few months we had over 100 snails in my 5 gallon tank. One thing we did to remove some of them was get a little saucer, stick it in the gravel along with a few alagae wafers, wait till morning and stick them in a seperate tank. Keep doing that until you have all the snails removed. Now once to do with them while in a seperate tank is really up to you, I know petsores said they wil tank them when they are about the size of a dime, so if they are call Petco and See if they wil take them. Sadly we went somewhere then we found out that someone cleaned out the snail tank, dumped all the snails down the toilet. We gave our nieghbor a few snails and she stuck them in her koi pond.
Hope this Helps!

ok get yourself a little plastic film canister. punch a hole in the top of the lid big enough for a snail to fit through, but not a fish. put blanched(boiled) dark green leafy vegetable(fresh spinach is good, so is romaine lettuce, sliced zucchini wheels are good too) in the bottom of the film canister. snap the lid on. and place it at the bottom of the tank, turn the lights off for a few hours, maybe 2 or 3 or however long it takes. the snails will flock towards this canister and deposit themselves inside. remove canister and repeat as often as necessary.
or since you have a 10 gallon, I'm sure it would be fairly easy to pick them out by hand.

Well I have a snail who had a snail who had a snail and so on. And I gave some to my cousins. They love snails and I know will take care of them. So try giving them to people that you know will take care of them. Do not pull them off the tank or they will die. Wait till the snail is on the bottom of the tank in its shell and then get a plastic cup and scoop it out VERY gently. Do not hurt it 'cause my youngest snail, Poop just died! BOO-HOO! I named him that cause he looks like a piece of poop. Or you can give it to a pet shop. I hope I can help! And snails can eat lettuce but it gets their cage really grimy and slimy. Buy them plants from a pet store and they LOVE them. I like the plants better cause they don't get the tank slimy. My second youngest snail, Gary tried to climb out of the tank cause it was all slimy from the lettuce! We kept having to push him back in the water! Good luck again with your snails and hope you find a VERY good home for them!

Snails will virtually eat something. My snails as children were continuously interior the clear out ingesting the decomposing be counted. do not placed aquarium vegetation with them they are going to eat it. in simple terms go away some flake foodstuff or per chance some pellets. vegetables should be magnificent yet its not required continuously per chance as a manage. Snails reproduce fairly immediately so get waiting for a protection pressure.

Unless you want to only have snails in your tank-there is no other way to get rid of them unless you do kill them.

If you don't want to kill them, you will need to give them away. Sorry so short and sweet, but really, that's your only option.
