On Christmas, my father fed my dad leftover turkey and my dog gobbled it all up before I could do anything about it. Today, my dog's poop is green. Is this from the turkey, or is something wrong with him?

destroying your stuff when you're away? I need the dog to be in the apartment when I'm off running errands, because I work from home and I can't afford to be robbed and lose my livelihood. But if the dog destroys my equipment I am ruined also. So, how do you have a guard dog, but safeguard the property from dog damage?

I have a 13 year old dog. She is my baby. She has lumps all over her (poor girl) her lips are starting to fall, her used to be beautiful white teeth are turning yellow, and she moans and groans all night. After a long day of walking or swiming she gets super stiff. And she has arthritus. What can i do to keep her happy and healthy in her older age?
ps
she is a medium mutt we think part blue healer, collie, springer spanial, mix. she eats twice a day, 2 cups of kibbles and bits.

What could I use in my bedroom as a natural deodorizer that will not harm them or cause problems in anyway!

I have 15 birds in my bedroom (6 cockatiels) (2 lovebirds) (3 canaries) (4 budgies). Alot, I know its not healthy because of the dust. I clean thier cages everyday I change the paper and wash out food and water bowls and it still smells! I need a natural deodorizer! You see there is no where else in my house to put them...

I have had a squirrel feeder for several years. Here In l, Houston I get them pretty much all year. I would like, however to be able to see them without them scurrying off, all the time. Some don't seem to mind me in thegeneral area but the minute i start toward them they run off. How can I calm them. I don't necesarily want to hand feed or hold them, just to be around them withowut scaring them.

everyone I would post the info from the vet, so if they had a similiar issue they would know what it could be. I didn't realize that after I selected a best answer I couldn't add more details. Sooo....here is what the vet said: Maui had no ticks, no fleas, & no mites. We found a couple more scabby bumps under his chin & on his back. The vet noticed that Maui had shorter hairs around his hind end from chewing on it. He said he definitely had an allergy to something (side note: my vet is awesome & is usually right on the money..I drive 45 min. to see him..love the place..anyhoo..) He said since there are no fleas, ticks, mites it usually indicates an environmental or a food allergy. Sooo...he got an allergy shot that's good for about 2 mos. & we switched his food. If the bumps come back after the 2 mos. then we are going to try a hypo-allergenic (spelling?) food. If it turns out to be an environ allergy, he'll have to take meds for it. Maui's doing good & loves the new food!

I fed my mother's horse a big mac and pizza I had left in my car over night and she seemed to love it. I just gave her a whopper from burger king after a long ride and she loved it!. I noticed that she seems to have horrible bowel movements and trouble breathing afterwards but it seems to go away after a few hours. Is it ok on occasion?

I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi (herding dog, small breed) that will chew and nip anything. This includes my hand, the Christmas tree, shoes, socks, and anything else. She has a habit of going into biting fits that could eventually cause serious damage, but she is just a pup. I have said no firmly and held her mouth shut until she calms down, but she still keeps biting. She is clicker trained and is encouraged not to bite, but she still bites.

For the past couple days.. my dog has been walking around dripping this milky discharge from her area. She'll lick herself profusly and the carpet if she finds a spot where she leaks. i'm not exactly sure but i think she might have recently had a cycle but now the milky discharge is starting to look more like blood (that smells really bad) The milky discharge started as little drips but now whatever it is that's dripping drips in NOT LARGE but big amounts... I've tried to stop the dripping by putting on my own homemade version of a diaper with a pad and underwear (sad i know) at around 11:00 pm and by 1:00 am the underwear was completely soaked. I'm not sure if it's due to her age or if it's an infection but it's almost financially impossible to take her to see a vet... Can anyone give some sort of advice to what i should do to make me dog more comfortable... Pills, a Vet's number, anything is appreciated...

I have a rottweiler named Ham that loves to eat McDonalds and subway. His birthday is coming up and I am going to buy him a Triple Whopper from burger king and some fries. The only problem I have in doing this is he has very bad bowel problems for several days afterwards and vomits. I switched him to Diet Coke and it didn't seem to help. Are carbonated beverages not good for a dog's digestive system? I may switch to a Subway sandwich like Jared on the commercial talks about to cut down on carbs. Any ideas?

My new kitten is just about 12 weeks old, i got her yesterday & before i took her home the owner told me she had a slight case of ringworm >_< (Jerk) I couldn't not bring it home. I haver her in my room now, he often hides in his kitty carrier, i'v been treating her ringworm with an antibacterial & antifungus spray for cats. I constantly use handsanitizer & wash my hands, & my father is going to buy antibacterial spary for me to clean my whole room. He eats well, plays, purrs & is happy? I want to know more about the ringworm... He also has a pus eye, the eye is only slighly cloudy i guess from the infection & the pus is a light green coloration. What can i do to cure or relieve this until he gets vet attention? & also how do i prevent myself from getting ringworm?

My sister has two very healthy, seven year old parakeets in a large cage. Recently, she gave them some wild birdseed because she noticed it was a lot cheaper than a small box of parakeet seed and they took to it right away. However, since then, they have become very noticeably plumper. I couldn't believe it when I saw them. They are loud, bouncy, and happy, and do not act sick in the least, but is this weight gain unhealthy in and of itself? Should she stop the wild birdseed? I've had quite a bit of experience with keets myself, and they do eat a LOT, but don't generally get fat from it. So it's not that they're eating MORE; this has to be an effect from the seed itself. Is this bad? Again, they are acting no different; they just look much plumper.

My husband has always been allergic to my cat. His Mom could not stay at our house very long for the same reason. When my sister got divorced almost 2 years ago, it worked out well that she took my cat. Now she needs to break her lease and move back to our parent's house. They won't let her bring the cat (they have two already that do not get along with my cat - they are much younger and they fight.) My 2yo son battles asthma, I can't bring her here. No one we know wants to take her. She is almost 15 - years old. Do I put her to sleep?
