HISTORY: We have an 8 month old lab puppy/mix.

The vet said she about 80% lab 20 percent sharpei.

We've had her just over 9 weeks.

We got her from the shelter, she came from an over crowded, back yard breeder.

PROBLEM: It rains, she gets muddy feet. We need to clean her paws before she comes in the house. She submissive urinates.

WHAT WE ARE DOING: We praise, we talk calmly. None of it works. We have to touch her, so can't ignore her completely.

We started private dog training last week.

1 MORE ISSUE: She also urinates when frightened. Our 18 yo son bounced into the room last night in his new ski gear, she really got frightened, urniated (we found out a few minutes later) and started barking, until he took the cap off and started talking to her.

If anyone raises their voice, same thing.

We are trying to praise more and more, so she will be less afraid and so we can help build up her self esteem.

We had a freshwater tank for awhile and did real well with it. We are now starting up a saltwater tank. We currently have a 20gallon, but if all goes well we will definitly go much, much bigger. We have the salt in the water and it's filtering at the moment, but are wondering when can we add fish? Also, what are the levels in ammonia, PH, nitrate and nitrite that we are looking for? The hydrometer is good, just wanting to know the chemicals. Also, what fish do you recommend? Is there anything else we should know about? Thanks for your help!!!

I have an Alaskan Malamute that is constantly getting ear infections. Usually starts late on a Friday when we cant get to the regular vet. He always prescribes antibiotic pills and ointment, This does work, but is there anything we can do to make her more comfortable until we can get her to the vet?

What I mean is I picked out our cat when he was a kitten. His mother was one of our cats and she had a liter. But when he got older he chose my husband over me and he became his cat and not mine. Has anyone else gone through this? I mean it hurts since I picked him out and took care of him but he choose my husband over me. I don't understand why I mean he's not even much of a cat lover he's more of a dog lover. I was curious to see whoelse went through this. I still love him and pet him in all. Has this happened to you?

I am looking to provide a home for a Siamese cat. I already have a 5 month old Siamese kitten. I live in Indianapolis, but I would be willing to travel up to about 2 hours to meet someone if possible. I'm not looking to pay a lot of money, just help someone out if they need to find their SIamese a good home. Please let me know!

she has a milky discharge coming from her teats, has anyone else had this problem? we have not noticed any blood from her rear. could it be a phantom pregnancy?? she is a 14 month old husky, we have only had her about 2 months and did not have a lot of info about her. they said she had not been speyed but did not say if she had already had a season.

she seems to be more clingy than normal, and is not eating as much as normal. i know this last bit seems sounds like the right symptoms, but i have not seen the teat discharge on other peoples qestions before so am a bit worried. i will take her to the vets on friday so please dont give that as an answer!!

thanks

I feel really bad, what can I do to get over being sad? I really loved my hammy but one day (yesterday) I found him on the floor of his cage lifeless, eww... I felt like throwing up and crying, I did cry, and now I feel really bad, like I feel like I wasn't a good owner, well anyways I went to the vet and cremated his body, he lived for about 4 years... I really miss him...

I'm a little worried about Romeo, my cat. When I got up this morning, he
wasn't crying for his breakfast, and didn't seem interested in
playing. He still ate, and used the litter box, and was interested in
my breakfast, and was underfoot while I made my lunch, but other than
that just seemed to want to sit. Usually he's a little ball of energy!

However, the past 4 days I've been off because of the holiday, and I've
been getting up later - sometimes as much as 3 hours after I normally
do. I'm wondering because I got up at my normal early time today if I
just caught him mid-night cycle and if he's changed his routine because
I changed mine over the weekend? Or do you think he could be sick?
(Please don't say that....) He was his normal ball of energy last
night, tearing all over the house and into everything.
