I say the exact same thing to them everytime I leave the house. I find that by being repetitous they have learned that I will return. I say "OK boys, I'm leaving now. I love you. I'll see you when I get back. You be good now" So far they have been there waiting for me every day when I get home or when I return home from being out for the night.

Give him/her attention about 15 minutes before you leave and as you are walking out the door tell him/her appreciative things that way the cat can at least sense you love it.

This sounds silly, but I say "Bye bye". The cat knows this word and will go up, curl into a ball and sleep until I return.

Depends whether they've been good during the night or not!!! If I've had to spend ages cleaning up destruction before I go to work, they're lucky if they get a growl from me! Otherwise, it's "got to go to work now, ******* - see you when I get home, love you all!"

i always have a little chat to my cats, i always tell them where im going and that i wont be long then i say bye bye, when i come back home they kno its me coz i always shout hellooooooo. always treat them with love coz then they show you love bk my two are adorable

My cats are my babies, so I give them all a kiss, tell them to be good, and that I will see them later. I know, it's sad, but they are adorable!

I normally say 'bye bye Zelda' even though he's a tomcat (that's cos I thought he was female when I found him - he was very dirty and skinny, nothing was showing!!!)
