When my puppy got the runs, I used a syringe and injected a small amount of Imodium AD into a doggie treat and let her eat it. It worked for her just like it would work for a human! (I got the ok from her vet before I tried it, though)

You might want to look in your puppy stool to see if there are worms in the stool. If so you should take a piece of it to the vet and have them put on medication. I know my puppy (6 months old) has been having diarrhea lately on and off and I discussed this with the vet today as well as some other concerns and they gave me an antibiotic for her (to clean up any bacteria build up and something else I can't remember sorry). The diet my dog is on has not changed since we got her and when we got her the stool was normal, just recently it changed to diarrhea. Good Luck.

yep probably is. Did you change you dog's food? Did he get into the trash or go outside and eatsomething from there?
This will cause diarrhea in most dogs. But just to be safe you should talk to a vet.
Esp. if he is not eating or is not active.
go see your vet first.

Try a puppy food containing chicken and rice. This can help, but if it persists take the puppy to the vet.
