Set up an attractive and nice background. Cover the chair/box or whatever you use with the same material. Place the animal on the chair/box or what else you have chosen to use. Utilitze most of the frame of the picture to the animal. If you are using film, you must get the film developed first. If using a digital camera, you can buy card programs that will assist you. With film, once it is developed, you need to get it scanned into your computer and then follow the card program that you have bought.

I would go to a professional, they are great at knowing when to snap a great shot. I have heard of people going to JC Penny's for pet portraits, or anyone else in your area would work. If you want to do it yourself, then I would take your preferance of sheet and hang it over a chair for the back ground. Then get your pet and place her in front of the backround, make sure you have plenty of treats in your hand and camera in the other. The solid background will make it easier to edit the background with your own computer program. Good luck.

My husband keeps a camera on hand in case he sees something that would make a good picture. He's managed to get a bunch of good ones of our pets!

Happy picture-taking!

wait for him to sleep. then dress him up, put things around him, put on a hat, whatever u want. then start making noise or rub him for him to start waking up, when his eyes open take the pic. that way they're still.
