he always has his beak open to assist in breathing, and it is not the usual quiet breathing. he cannot whistle anymore, now it is a raspy noise.

Can a small saucer (perhaps .5 to 1oz) of wine hurt a dog? He is a 94lb German Shepard/Collie/Rottweiler mix. We were wondering if he liked the taste, and the answer is yes (he can not stand beer).

I just found out my mom's been feeding my dog Meow Mix for the past while. i heard once you shouldn't do things like this, but forgot why. She claims that the dog won't eat anything else. Should we find something she likes?

My husband took our 12 year old boxer to our local vet because he was not using his back foot/leg. We thought maybe he had broken or sprained it. They did x-rays and they diagnosed him with cancer/tumor of the hip joint. Duke has a really hard time getting up, walking..etc This has come on so sudden. Does this usually happen? Anyway, they have him on pet morphene pills to ease the pain. It seems to have help a little with the pain, but he so weak and having a hard time moving. We're having to guide him here and there, sometimes carry him. He hasn't cried but maybe once a little when we were trying to lay him back down on his bed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not shying away from putting him down, but I don't want to make a mistake and regret it later. I guess I'm just needed some support. Thank you for listening and for any responses.

Okay, my little kitty, tonight is it's first night here. and well umm. How do I tell if it needs to go potty? He's staying in the cat carrier so he can get used to being in it, cause we won't be home at 5 am, to 2 pm cause we are at work. we come home at 11 for lunch for an hour. but. well. yea I just need to know the signs there are for when it has to go potty cause I can't let him roam around because he'll get lost haha, and he likes to go into the little crooks and cranny's that could hurt him.

Thanks a bunch

There are two things:
1~My 6 month old kitten sucks on her fur. I have no problem with it, but I'm wondering: Will she stop?
ALSO:
2~Before she drinks water, she splashes it EVERYWHERE with her paws and then flicks it in your face(EVEN WITH TOILET WATER!!!!) It gets all over my wood floor and I'm also wondering if this will stop.

THANKS!!!

Please people, I'm not really looking for an excuse to crop my pit puppies' ears, the thing is that they have been "FIGHTING" every now and then lately. I know the difference of puppy play and biting their ears, and when they're ACTUALLY fighting and biting themselves trying to ripp their ears and skin (they actually have some cuts already). I mean they're both only 3.5 months old, and when they fight all I do is try to separate them 'n then I yell at them(trying to discipline them) but I don't even know if it really works because they continue doing it. I want to crop their ears now because I can't predict the future or what's going to be like when they grow up and get stronger teeth. Maybe an advice on discipline will help...They're both very good friends..but it's just the problem when they start fighting for any toy or treat...I don't want them to hurt me and themselves no more when I try to separate them by them biting me or them biting eachother

Is it ok to feed a 15 week old chihuahua puppy, Royal Canin Chihuahua 28, or is it still too young? I think I read on the bag that they have to be 6 or8 months old before you should start them on this, unless I misunderstood.

....humanely kill a cow, chicken, fish, and eat it..

but not a dog or cat...?

When I asked a simple question "Is it legal to humanely kill and eat a dog/cat" - I was roundly accused of being

"psycho"
"insane"
"pathetic"
"murderer"
"sick"

Yet cattle, pigs, fish, poultry are killed everyday, there are huge processing plants, and we almost all eat dead animals..

Are people just full of sh1t, or is there some "pet psychology" going on...Do people think about their answers..?

I'm trying to find a breed of a big dog. I wish I had a picture to post of it but I don't. It is a good size dog, kind of looks like it would be a giant Boston Terrier, it has that same type of roundish head that the BT has. Wish I could describe it better, but if anyone has any suggestions or idea of what I'm talking about, please pass it on. Thanks.
