Reason being, we just bought a 6 week old and the girl at the store couldn't tell us whether it was male or female and we were thinking of going back and getting on of it's brothers or sisters to keep him company. The only problem is we don't want them to start breeding. Not only do we not have the room, but inbreeding? Eww! I know they're rodents, but even mice that have been inbred are only used for feeding purposes because they are so mean and stupid. So here's the question; If I got one of it's siblings, would they breed? And if so, how can I tell if they're male or female so they don't breed? By the way, they have all been kept in a cage together since they were born so they already know each other. I'm not worried about fighting or anything.

I have a cat who will leave his tail floating in my bath water, like he doesn't even know it's in there. He is always real excited when I take a bath and comes and sits on the edge of the tub. and he has started sticking his paws in the water now. I try to coax him in, but he doesn't go for that yet.
just wondering...
I have never heard of a cat that was okay with water???
He's also always putting his cat food in his water bowl. maybe he has a thing for water.

My dog got sprayed by a skunk, because he got mad, and went to bite the skunk's butt! And, the f**king smell, is so da** dumb. What should I do?
Thanks, and pardon my language. My house is big, it's too strong.

I was hoping that someone with a dog may have had a similar situation and could offer some advice. The vet that I go to isn't open until Monday and I'm worried that it could be something serious that needs to be dealt with now.

Reason I ask 2 of my 4 female betta's died that were in the same tank. I'm sure they didn't kill each other cause they had 1.25 gallons each and plenty of places to hide. Beside they got along.
The temperature out side dropped really fast and the heater was at 65 and didn't help much inside. I'm thinking it got to cold for them to fast. I took them out and put them in a much warmer part of the house. I feel so bad :( But at least 2 of my babies are alive :)

Our cat has out of the blue started getting sores all over. She has them on her head, back of the neck, under her chin, and down her spin. She makes it worse by scratching and chewing at it. Do you have any idea where this came from or what it is? Thanks in advance!

My female cat is pregnant, and it might be incest.

We got her and her brother at the same time, and when she went into heat, we separated them (at the time we could not afford to get either of them fixed)

I mean a couple times we think he may have got her but we arn't certian. She has also gotten out once or twice, but we have caught her and got her back in. She was out for a long time one day.

Even if her pregnancy is incest, is that going to severly affect the kittens?

Please only informative answers.

And any links to an informational website woudl be greatly appriciated.

Thank you.

I am fascinated by domesticated birds. I have thought about getting a bird for my office (I own my own office and it is more like a home environment). I am not super knowledgable about birds and maybe I don't need to get one...but I have thought about it and am very curious. What do you think would be the best type of bird for the environment that I am talking about? I am at the office 7 days a week and can bring the bird home with me at night. Is this crazy? Be honest...I can be talked out of this if it is not the right thing to do but I know people with different types of birds and I envy them. I would love to have one in my family.

I can gate a room off, but that seems like a big pain. I am trying to think of something like a table, etc. that the dog can't get up on but the cat can't.....but NOT the kitchen cabinet. Has anyone put their cat box on the dryer?

We just got a new Shih tzu puppy.... she was 8 weeks old yesterday. She is solid white with a little black around her eyes and ears. Her beard already has a red color to it and I was wondering how you keep the Shih tzu face white? Any Shih tzu owners who have any advice would be greatly appreciated!
