are pine needles or pine sap bad for a cockatiels

They must not be, because according to this site they use them for nesting.

I rehab wild birds and people occasionally bring me nests too which include pine needles. And you know when babies start munching, they munch what's near, which is pine needles.

I couldn't find anything that said yes or no, but my conclusion is no.

I would consult your vet. if your cockatiel has somehow injested pine needles or sap.

Are you thinking about possible downfalls of a christmas tree or something?

To be careful, especially because pine needles are sharp, I wouldn't let your bird near a pine tree.

YES VERY! THEY DIE 8 DAYS AFTER YOU GIVE IT TO THEM! UNLESS YOU MAKE THEM LAY AN EGG, BOIL IT, THEN FREEZE, AND CRACK IT ON YOUR BIRDS HEAD!
