Yesterday I had my wisdom teeth extracted, and today I've been just snoozing on the couch. Well..all day long, my puppy just sat on my belly and watched me sleep, every so often he'd come and nudge my arm until I moved it so he could curl up by my side. You could tell it was driving him crazy not being able to play all day, but he took really good care of me, lol, really he did. He'd come over and lick my face every so often then he'd rub his head against my cheek, then just crash out next to me..maybe he thinks he's a cat?? :)

I was at my doctor's office, and we heard mewing coming from a drain pipe...sure enough, a tiny kitten was in there starving. I immediately offered to take the kitten, and I took her to the vet. He ran tests and such and she is healthy, just a little skinny.

She has never been around people before I don't think. I have some kitten food and am feeding it to her every 4 hours or so.

What are some tips on taking care of this kitten? Should I leave her alone when she cries, or carry her around with me? Any suggestions?

We picked up a boxer (8mths old) that, around both front and back ankles, has deep scars. The scars line up and look like his back 2 paws were tied together and his front 2 likewise. Also, his due claws are removed.? Why would an owner tie his legs together??? We saw a poster for him and are trying to figure out if it was abuse=we wil not call, or if there is some other explanation (not bad people) we will call. Please help???

Do fish sleep? Do they need 'time off' and I noticed that the water temperature gets alittle too high if I leave both lights on so I've been unscrewing one light and that seems to be better. I have 2 Red Bellied Pacus and they're getting HUGE! Are they good eating? (that was a joke!)

Just tell me.
I need really dumb ones like cubert, hubert, scatman, rainbow, etc. Get unique. I will just tell you that we just got a new dog. I have the choice of it's name. I hate this dog. It once tried to stab me when I was sleeping. It's evil!!!!!!!

I loved my doggy but I don't know whether to get a new dog or just..not. It seems like he is irreplacable, and I'm even scared that it's going to be just as hard letting go my new pet when the time comes as it was with my old dog. But I loved having a pet, so I'm just not really sure what to do..

we have been wanting a dog for a while now when my daughter was asked what she wanted for christmas a dog was her only request.. we live in a townhouse so we need something small when I checked the local paper for what was available for christmas the following breeds were peekapoo, shih-poo, poodle, shih tzu maltese mix, puggle, and chi-poo which of these breeds do you think would be best for a 4 year old girl.. I've always had bigger dogs so I have no experience with the smaller breeds and any information would be so helpful thanks

I was telling my coworker all the neat tricks my black lab knows (yes, I'm a proud mommy!) and she replied, "That's awful, if you teach your dog too many tricks, it'll get a brain tumor!" I thought she was joking at first, but then she said she was serious and feels teaching your dog too much can hurt it's brain. I'm not buying this! What do you think?

Why that specific one?

I've had a Ladybug as a pet, named it "Lady"
and a Prayingmantis, named it "Gogga", but she had kids then and they were all over my place.

I recently moved my goldfish from a 1 gallon tank to a 5 gallon tank (once I learned the 1 gallon was too small). He gets plenty of light during the day, I make sure to feed him, and I treat his water every time I do a water change. I moved him into his new tank last Thursday, and when I came back to work on Tuesday, he was happy and healthy, had eaten all of his "vacation" food pellet, and was exploring his new home. However, when I came into work on Wednesday, his tail had been, for lack of a better word, chewed off, as was his dorsal fin ( I know it isn't possible for him to successfully reach either with his mouth, but it sure looks like something was gnawing away at him.) He is still able to swim around and he eats his normal amount of food. His water has also turned a very sour-smelling yellow, despite the new charchol and bio-filters. Any ideas on what is wrong with him? Is there anything I can do to help him?

I don't know who to believe. My vet told me I should stop using the Clavamox after 14 days the internet says 10. Do I continue to give my cat the medication after the 10 days are finished? She really only has 1 more dosage after the 10the day. Does anyone have any clue.

Okay, maybe I'm a "word-nerd" but I can't tell you how many folks on here can't spell the word shepherd. It's not that hard...it comes from herding sheep...get it? HERD SHEEP, SHEEP HERDER, SHEPHERD! Am I the only one who gets irritated by the countless questions misspelling Belgian, Australian and German "Shepards"?
