My male bichon, Toby, is my family's second bichon. He so loving but is also energetic and caring. We spoil him. He eats only dog food and sleeps in crate, but we still treat him like a prince and give him a lot of attention. The new dog is a 2yr old girl and seems a little less energetic.

I fear that if we get another dog, he will feel neglected and I really don't want that to happen. But I also feel like he could use a friend.

I am going to college next year so he will be alone a lot when my mom goes out. I really think Toby could use a friend but I don't want him to feel neglected.

Do bichons tend to get along and play with each other or will Toby get jealous of the new dog? My family loves Toby so much, so we will not ignore him because of the new dog, we will just be giving the same attention to the other dog.

I'm thinking about getting a guinea pig, and I know that "anything with teeth can bite," so don't bother telling me that. I was just wondering if anyone out there who HAS a guinea pig or has been around one a fair amount through either a friend or a relative who has one or pet shop employment/management/ownership could give me the details about their biting habits. I would like to know: 1)Do most guinea pigs bite 2)When you are selecting a guinea pig at the pet store, are you usually able to tell whether a guinea pig is a biter or not 3)Does getting a guinea pig at a young age reduce the risk of it being a biter (if so, what is a good age?) 4)How to quickly resolve the problem of a biting guinea pig 5)Any other piggie info you want to throw my way! I think a Jack Russel and a Pomeranian would be interesting and cute--but really really REALLY hyper!!!! My husband thinks a Pitbull and Rottweiler would be cool. Or an Akita and a Pitbull. (see how we are on completely different wavelengths with this one?!)

My daughter's hamster who is about 2 years old, took a fall over a foot, he is walking however now he seems to be walking with a hunched up back. Can some help advise me what could be wrong and if this is going to be fatal. I'm afraid that we will wake up in the morning to a dead pet. Thanks. Please help us ASAP!! I got a kitten that is one month old. And she keeps on meowing even after i fed her kitten formula in a bottle made for kittens. And its so hard to ignore her. And she started to lick/bite almost every object, even the towel she sleeps on..it keeps following everyone and meowingg

i went to the vet today and he said my puppy who is 1yr still has baby teeth and they need to be pulled out. i hesiated because i dont want him to go through that pain. i also spoke to the previous owner and he said his teeth are fine and has dental records from his vet. what should i do?

At a family gathering there was this little chihuahua that was mean to everyone and totally snappy. Anyways, it would always growl at people and when it growled at my 10 year old cousin, she smacked it on the head. the little dog yelped and ran away and I sware to you, after that day, the dog loved my cousin and would follow her around a play. He's devastated, a wire from his t.v. was hanging out(he didnt realise) and while he was upstairs Rufus (the rat) must have started chewing on it.He buried him today and threw out his t.v. cos it reminds him of Rufus. He's 23 and a really sensitive lad. I cant face him because I'm frightened of laughing.
