My dog Zoe had 2 beautiful puppies last Thursday. On Monday I took them to my friends (who works at a vet's office) she said she could doc there tails. So on Monday night after they closed the office I went over there so she could do it. I thought everything went ok, but when I got home to put the puppies down I checked to see if they were ok and I noticed that you could see the bone of one of the puppies. I don't know if he lost a stitch or if she didn't do it right. I don't know if I am over reacting or what. I asked my brother in-law and he says that it is normal. I don't know. It just doesn't feel right to me. I fell so bad I regret getting there tails done.

So can anybody tell me if this is normal????

ALGAE!! yikes! I have a 40 gallon aquarium in my room. lately there has been alot of brown algae growing in it. it seems liek theres kjust a thick blanket of it that appears over night! . i have a full grown black moor gold fish in there and 2 smaller feeder fish i added in the other day. I have been cleaning the tank every 2 weeks. which is a hassel since its so big. i have been limiting my light use. it hasnt been on at all this week and more and more keeps showing up. its NOT in direct sunlight and i have been using "algae destoryer" which isnt doing much (and yes i have been foloowing the instructions) how do i contorl all of this algae! it smells so bad sometimes i cant even sleep in my room!!

how do i prevent it besides limiting light use. what other treatments are there to contorl/ or eliminate it all together?

i cant be algae eaters cause i do not have a thermometer cause all i have are 3 gold fish in the tank. i do have a filter and air pumps in it.

I just got a new cat from Dumb Friend's League and she hasn't eaten much and hasn't gone to the bathroom more than once or twice. It's only been two days but it doesn't seem like she's really eating. Also we just use the dry food that the center gave us (I imagine they've been feeding her the same stuff). Is this normal?

I have a one-year -old white, blue eyed neutered male short-hair.He is deaf.He is a very loving cat,but he is also the most hyperactive, ornery cat I have ever seen in my life, and mind you,I've had cats for 40 years. He is into everything ,like a toddler on a sugar -high.He jumps on the other cats to the point where they want to hide from him(and they are all twice his size). He knocks things over, steals things(rubber bands, socks, pens, etc). He's so bad,I have to put him in a cage at night so I know he's safe! Don't get me wrong,I love the little brat and would never get rid of him(or any of my cats),but I just wanted to know if anyone else has the same problem with a deaf cat.Thanks.

I posted a similar question a while ago and after some research, I am now looking for a new opinion. I have a shubunkin named Stewie and a black moor name Colby. I just got a new 29 gallon tank. I would like to get them one more friend. Now someone here has said that these 2 types should be seperated, but they get along well. They were in the same tank when I bought them, and I would prefer not to seperate these babies. Saying all this, what would be an appropriate choice for a third goldie. I am thinking maybe a comet or another moor? Maybe a Ryukin? I am not too sure. I'd appreciate some input.

Thanks!

We saved his life when he was 1 week old. Now he is 4 months and will not jump at all. Never meows. The most loveable guy ever. He will climb atop a shoe box and that is it. Is this a sign of some kind of brain damage or is it normal?

Hey my Dad's cat was doing this weird massage to a blanket and biting it at the same time today, what does that mean? He is a male cat. Is that some strange mating thing that cats do?

My son really wants a Mini Dachshund however I am not convinced of this choice. I'm sort of interested in a Mini Pinscher or a Jack Russell. Any suggestions or opinions are greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays!!!
