Honestly, there are very few people out there thinking "Hey! I want to adopt a dog with a high-maintenance health problem"
First you should contact the breeder (good breeders will take their puppies back, no matter what), then try the rescues. I suggest United Yorkie Rescue, as they seem to be willing to take on dogs with health problems. http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org/foreverours.shtml
Consider making a substantial donation if you turn your dog over to a rescue. They have high veterinary bills, and your dog will likely add to their financial burden.

I would first suggest you speak with your breeder. A reputible breeder will take any dog back under any circumstances. This does not mean you will get your money back, but the dog will be off your hands. If your breeder doesn't want to take the dog back, NEVER purchase another dog from that breeder, and do your best to make sure nobody else does.
If you got the dog at a pet store, now you know what happens when you purchase a dog from a puppy mill where there is no concern about bettering the breed, but just producing large numbers.
If you can't return the dog, I would suggest looking for a no kill animal rescue to take him.

You are doing the right thing for your pup. Call her Vet to see if they have any referrals. There are many rescue groups that just do a specific breed, you can find them on the internet. You can turn her over to a no kill shelter. Make up some cards and ask Vets if you can post her information. No one blames you for being over your head. Email me if you need assistance. Best of luck to you!

Check with the Yorkie Rescue Groups in your area, or you can find several on Petfinder.com, if that does not help as your veterinarians office they may be able to offer some assistance in helping you find him a home. Good Luck.

Any Yorkie rescue will help you or at least point you in the right direction and could tell you what your options are.
Try http://www.yorkierescue.com/ or http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org/
Plus, ask a local veterinarian, they'll have a list of local Yorkie rescues.

Go to www.yorkshireterrierrescue.com. They should have a link for your state and instructions regarding placing your pet for adoption.

most any shelter would put him to sleep because its not going to be easy for anyone to care for him. im sorry to say, they wouldnt even take totally healthy cats, they would kill them simply because they are not tame yet. they were born under my house from a stray mother and we cant really pet them or anything.
