I have a two year old fixed male springer spaniel that finds joy in humping my pillows and stuffed animals. Why is he doing this when he is fixed? It is very annoying because he likes to entertain our company by showing his display of affection to our couch pillows. Anyone else have a fixed dog who does this and how do you break him of it?

My 10 month old lab-pei found her way under the fence sometime yesterday while I was at work. I got home at 10 and noticed she was missing. First thing this morning, I went to the pound to see if they had found her and luckily they had. We filled in the area beneath the fence and took Luna to the groomers for a serious bath.

She just had an accident in the house for the first time since we moved into my parent's house and she also seems constiipated according to my Dad (I'm at work right now and haven't seen her yet.) Should I worry that the experience has traumatized her?

She seemed her normal self when I left for work earlier, but she hasn't had an accident in more than 2 months and this time she had one in the middle of the front room and there were plenty of people home that would have been happy to let her out.

Is the constipation something to worry about?

Are we back to square one for house training?

I got two kittens monday, Sophie & Sierrah, and Sierrah alwayz sucks on Sophie's neck. She'll grab Sophie's neck with her paws too & start rubbing Sophies face. Sophie does'nt seem to mind, but its just kinda weird. Why is she doing this? And should I be worried?

shes done this for years, probably most of her life on and off, but it just seems to be really bad, she has scabs allover her neck. and i dont think she has flees. What else could cause this?

OK...first off...she's a girl. SHe is grey and white, although it's too close to tell if she is white with grey on her or grey with white on her. She has a pink nose, is pretty lively, and she mew's alot. She's also always underfoot, but I don't want to name her anything negative. I asked my boyfriend, and he said "Ganda" UGH!!!! NO WAY!! I said "Squirrel", he said no.I said "Stella" he said no. I said "Pistacio" and he said no because he can't say that word...any advice??Thanks!

I have two dogs, a pup about 7 months and an older dog about 12 years. both of them and my husband and i live in a small unit. unfortunatly the toilet training never took. so now we have a doggie smelling house. can any one suggest the quickest and cheapest way to get all the urine and smell out of large area of carpet. i know you have to break up the enzime compound of the urine but what works well and is real cheap? (and yes i know we need to get them toilet trained. we're on to that.) Please help!!

I have a male and a female cockateil that barely layed eggs, they never layed on the eggs before, but these two eggs the male is almost always on them, the female hardly lays on them, but is it bad that the eggs are at the bottom of the cage, not in a nesting box, and also at night time when they get covered they get off the eggs, only sometimes they stay on, but they usely stay off, is that okay for them to do that

The trainer I admire most (http://www.leerburg.com) is completely and totally against off-leash dog parks. He says it's not a matter of if some dogs will fight, but WHEN they'll fight. My girls are small dogs (chi/italian greyhound and jrt/westie). Most parks have special areas for the small dogs, but without someone regulating whether or not each pet is licensed, fully vaccinated, spay or neutered, I just don't think I could let my girls participate.

What do you think? What has been your experience?

Our cat will not stop pooping in our living room. When I find that she has pooped we will go to get her and she knows she did something wrong because she will pee and try to run away. We spank her so she knows not to do it again but she always does. One time she pooped right in front of us. Another time she all of the sudden peed on me for no reason. She is only 4 years old and she knows where her litter box is so why doesnt she use it? Is it because she is lazy? We took her to the vet and they said she was healthy so it isnt a health problem. She is a russian blue. Why is she doing this and how can I get her to stop?

I have a litter box in my room across from my bed. It seems that everytime im in there the cat heads into the box every 10 min. I've opened the box and cleaned it out and all thats in there are hard pellets. It also seems like he's peeing but only in small amounts. Then he digs for 5 min in his box. Could this be just constipation, or a UTI? Or, could it be just a dirty box? (though i've just put in new litter last week). I havn't changed the brand/type of litter, and he uses the crystals since he's an indoor cat. If it's just constipation, what should I give him to alleviate his tummy?
