I don't have an answer for you but my dog did the same before he was fixed. Our neighbors and I were playing out front one day and I had the front door open. The lady next door was like, "Aww, look...he's wrestling with the pillows!" LOL. He was standing right in front of the glass door just humping away at a pillow from the sofa.

do tell him no and take the pillow away. Maybe he was neutered too late. Neutered dogs will still hump other dogs for dominance. Just tell him firmly no, squirt him with a water bottle.

We used to have a fixed female pitbull who did that, but it wasn't just objects like pillows. She used to hump my male shepherd (who was NOT fixed). She didn't do it on the back end, she humped his head. And, he tolerated it. When we asked the vet, she said Peggy was asserting her dominance over Jasper(the shepherd). I'd ask the vet if I were you.

There is no easy way to say this but......Mr. Humper needs a mate, It happens when it is hot out, and they can smell females all around them. Maybe you should get together with a family member or a friend that has a FEMALE dog that if just the right size for him. They'll "make" puppies and you'll make lotsa $$$

All dogs do this, fixed or not. He will not do it as much as he gets older, but he is still so young!
