It totally depends on how much your puppy weighs and how old it is. The food I use (Royal Canin) has a chart on it which gives the age-to-weight proper amount of food. If the food you feed your puppy doesn't have this, just check out the package of the Royal Canin food package to get an idea of what you need to be giving your puppy :-)

well when you first start out feeding, you want to free feed during the day til they get about 6-7 months old then you can feed 2 times a day. you don't want to over feed them or feed them to much because they will grow to fast and that is not good for their bones. when they get to 6-7 months old then you can mix both puppy and adult food together till the puppy brand is gone then you can just feed the adult. i breed golden retrievers and when i feed them i feed puppy food all day long til they get to the age6-8 months old then i feed them both puppy and adult food. good luck

most vets recommend free feeding puppies. Give that puppy as much food as he wants.

That depends. Why don't you start off by taking the recommendation on the package and adjust it based on your dogs needs by observing his weight and health.
