My kitten managed to swallow a string from one of his toys. he swallowed it up in little pieces. Now he wont stop throwing up. He is drinking lots of water but he wont eat or poop. he keeps throwinng up the water and then ever once in a while a little piece of the cord will come out. I don't have money to take him to get x-rays. one place said he NEEDED them and another vet said to wait it out. But he's not EATING!!! i keep putting him infront of his food and i even gave him his favorite kind, he just WONT EAT! i'm scared. Is he gunna be ok? What should i do? Should i wait it out?

Preferably something easy to take care of and that doesn't require a lot of work, such as frequent cleaning of tank or bowl, etc.

I really would like to have another pet. I already have an old dog (16 years old), a wild cat that is a bit too shy, a long eared rabbit and long haired guinea pig.

The problem is, they don't give so much affection, and I really need some, certainly now that I'm in this years long depression... plus they are mostly kept by my mother and brother. (the cat only comes to me though. But eh just at some times)

I want a pet with some attitude, no fish or bird indeed. I want to receive much love and affection and be able to spend my time in them. So it's no problem if they seek a lot of attention!!

The only exception is: no other dogs. My dog can't take it anymore and would certainly die out of envy and sadness. (pity, I wanted a Bordeaux dog)

Oh and I have lot's of space to keep them, so that's no prob either.

Thanks already for reading =)

I was just wondering what would happen if the police sent a dog after someone but they were strong enough to kill it?

I picked him up from the vets office at lunch and brought him home. He's walking very slowly and seems nervous almost as if he thinks he's going to get fussed at for something. Is he mad at me or am I just paranoid? Possibly a side effect of the anesthesia??

My male kitten is not fixed but it just started that he is peeing on blankets, clothes and in my rock garden. It is so bad. I have try to keep the doors closed but he gets into the bedrooms and pees on the bed clothes and if I am doing laundry he tries to sneak up on my clean clothes. He will jump onto laundry hampers and push them over drag the clean clothes out and pee. Worst is that he has this thing for peeing on the rocks in my rock garden as if it were a litter box. I have three cats and a self cleaning litter box. He has a seperate one and only does the other mess in there. I have tried pepper, cover sprays and moth balls. He hates the moth balls but he will slap them away from where he wants to go and avoid the others. It still doesn't cure the blanket issue. Please help!

We have a 5 month old border collie and her ears are erect. Is there anyway we could encourage them to fold, as our older collie's do? Her ears make her look like a fox!

My hushand and I are debating over what kind of a dog to get. (I had a yorkiepom for over 16 years, that recently was put to sleep.) My husband would like a lab or a jack russell terrier, but I would like it to be a house dog - and I think the lab is too big, and the jack russell too hyper.

Any suggestions on a good "in between" compromise?

My hamster's chin got scratched a few days ago, the scratch is healed now, but there is a lump where it was. I think that it is infected, so I want to give him anibiotic. I don't have access to vet, please recommend me which antibiotic and how should I give it.

Hi all, I got a kitten off the street about 2 months ago and she is a high energy happy pouncing cat. However, she has dried black looking sand on her head between her ears. I think it may be a scab. However im worried it might be somthing else, i dont think its fleas because the black dots dont move and the cat doesnt scratch her head at all. Should I be worried?

I'm going to see a puppy on Saturday and the owner has said he's getting the litter KC registered as both parents already are.
What age do the pups need to be to be registered and if I buy one can I get my name put onto the registration papers?

My horse is acting up with an attitude while riding. Why?
Today my horse was being a dufus. I thought forsure i was gonna get bucked off even though she is the calmest horse ever. What do you think could have been wrong just today?

She was running side ways and wouldnt run straight.

She was banging her head and chewing on her bit.

It was windy, but its always windy here and shes never been like this before.

I moved her to a new place 2 weeks ago and this was the first time i rode her since. Does that have anything to do with it?

How do you know when a horse is about to buck. How can you stop him when you know he's going to?

I dont use spurs because i think its a little harsh.
Would start using them help

Any help from a horse expert with an answer to any of these questions would be greatly appretiated.
