I really would like to have another pet. I already have an old dog (16 years old), a wild cat that is a bit too shy, a long eared rabbit and long haired guinea pig.

The problem is, they don't give so much affection, and I really need some, certainly now that I'm in this years long depression... plus they are mostly kept by my mother and brother. (the cat only comes to me though. But eh just at some times)

I want a pet with some attitude, no fish or bird indeed. I want to receive much love and affection and be able to spend my time in them. So it's no problem if they seek a lot of attention!!

The only exception is: no other dogs. My dog can't take it anymore and would certainly die out of envy and sadness. (pity, I wanted a Bordeaux dog)

Oh and I have lot's of space to keep them, so that's no prob either.

Thanks already for reading =)

If you have space to keep them, I'd get a mini horse. They make awesome pets, plus you can teach them to drive a little cart.

Dogs and cats tend to be the most affectionate, especially in terms of cuddling. Maybe another cat, but that could cause issues with the cat you have now.

My other thought is a ferret, they're fabulous pets and can be very cuddly. They're a fair bit of work and need some research, so keep that in mind. They certainly have plenty of attitude.

My final suggestion are male rats. They're more cuddly than female rats (female rats are crazy active -- NEVER sit still) and rats are just great pets. They're cleaner than people think and can be super affectionate! Many lick and groom their owners. And feeding them is pretty easy because if you run out of their regular food, they have the same diet as people, so you're good for a day or two on healthy table scraps (this happened once when I came home from school for a weekend with my rats and forgot to bring their food with me -- they got table scraps, crackers and dog food)

a sugar glider!!! Read up on them, they're cute little things and if you want something that gives affection and loves attention then that's a good pet for you. They love to cuddle and sit in your pocket or "bonding pouches" They grow to love you and your scent. they get sad and lonely if you don't hold/play with them, they will even get depressed and die if you ignore them for too long. They eat bugs too and fruit, popcorn, honey, grapes, lots of stuff they are cute!

Get a ferret. They act like dogs and they are very adorable and extremely affectionate. They are Quite intelligent so you can teach them some tricks and they will keep you entertained for hours. After your dog(I hate to say) moves on to doggie Heaven than you can get another dog. Until than a ferret will keep you very happy!! :-)

Get a guinea pig yet earlier you purchase it ask the puppy save proprietor or breeder to permit you carry them and to feed them slightly nutrition they might desire to choose for the nutrition at cutting-edge because of the fact they're voracious eaters and once you carry Him/Her she or he would desire to pass around and twitch its nostril.

Nah man, you gotta get a rat! (or better still, two) They are very social creatures, very easy to look after and are very affectionate to their owners! I have 4 and just love them. they all have their own personalities!
